After a restful night, board a motorcoach to see the sights of one of the most unique cities in Europe. The city center consists of 90 islands, linked by 400 beautiful bridges and a street pattern that is largely unchanged since the 19th century. On tour we will see the Royal Palace, the Museum Quarter, and we’ll also stop to stroll along the beautiful flower market. Enjoy a canal cruise through some of Amsterdam’s hundreds of canals and waterways that are lined with 17th-century architecture. The balance of the day is yours to explore on your own. Be sure to stop by the Oude Kerk (Old Church), the oldest building in the city or perhaps stop by the Anne Frank House. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner onboard after which the vessel departs Amsterdam. Meals: B, L, D

Day 4 | Arnhem / Airborne Museum

Day 7 | Antwerp Touring

Breakfast is served as the vessel arrives in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Arnhem is a bustling city offering a rich heritage. Our day will include a drive through the city known for the World War II battle operation called “Market Garden”. In September 1944, the British and the Polish were given the task of securing the bridge at Arnhem, a campaign captured in the movie “A Bridge Too Far”. You will drive past various spots associated with this event. We’ll also visit the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek, once the headquarters of the British 1st Airborne Division. Back onboard, enjoy dinner as we cruise to the capital of Zeeland. Meals: B, L, D

Wake up in this beautiful Belgian port city, one of the largest ports in the world. Famous for its diamond trade, Antwerp is also home to numerous cultural jewels. On our tour today, we’ll walk through the attractive old center of the city and visit the Cathedral of Our Lady, the largest Gothic church in Belgium. See paintings by the famous Baroque artist Peter Paul Rubens, including the Raising of the Cross and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Spend the afternoon in Antwerp following individual pursuits. This evening enjoy the Captain’s Gala Dinner. Meals: B, L, D

Ghent

Day 8 | Keukenhof Gardens / Rotterdam

Amsterdam

Day 5 | Middelburg Visit After a morning spent cruising the waterways, we arrive in the picturesque town of Middelburg. In the Golden Age (17th century), the Dutch East India Company flourished, evidenced by the merchant houses and storefronts that line the canals. For a feat of modern technology, you may choose to visit the impressive Delta Works. This expansive series of dams was built to protect the area against flooding and high tides. Several original windmills still stand on the outskirts of town, representing another innovative technology of a bygone era. Meals: B, L, D

After cruising overnight we are back in the Netherlands. Rotterdam is a vibrant city with a strong maritime history and bold, modern architecture. Our included excursion today is a visit to one of Europe’s largest garden displays, the Keukenhof Gardens. This beautiful park features more tulips in flower than anywhere else in the world and is the showplace of the tulip growers of the Netherlands. Over 7 million bulbs are planted here annually! Round, oval, triangular, and rectangular borders line the park’s driveways. Stroll the pathways in the gardens to enjoy a cheerful ensemble of colors, shapes, and scents. Numerous sculptures also lurk between the flowerbeds showcasing the harmony between art and nature. Later this evening, the vessel sets off for its final port of call - Amsterdam. Meals: B, L, D

Day 6 | Ghent Touring Overnight, cross the border into Belgium and reach the city of Ghent, where your vessel will remain anchored for the day. Ghent is the country’s third-largest city and one of Belgium’s best-kept secrets with its rich heritage of medieval buildings. On tour today you will see the fortress “Gravensteen” which was built in the 12th century by the Count of Flanders after he returned from his crusades. Today, Gravensteen is one of the biggest moated castles within Europe. During the tour you will also walk through the beautiful city center and see the belfry, a medieval bell tower with 54 bells. Additionally, explore the St. Bavo’s Cathedral which houses an impressive number of art treasures including the baroque high altar in white, black, and red flamed marble. This evening, join your fellow travelers for dinner. Meals: B, L, D

Keukenhof Gardens

Day 9 | Travel Home Our journey has now come full circle. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard before packing up. Our Captain will bid us farewell as we board our transfer to the airport for the flight back home. Meals: B

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS When should I make my reservation?

Why do single travelers have to pay more?

Once you have decided on a tour, we suggest making your reservation as soon as possible to ensure availability. Many of our tours sell out shortly after they are released to the public.

If you are traveling by yourself, the costs of hotel accommodations are incurred by one person instead of two. Therefore, single accommodations cost more than “double” or “triple” packages. A limited number of single rooms are available on each tour.

How are air reservations handled? All Double & Single Package costs include roundtrip air from most major U.S. gateways. Please refer to page 86 for details. If you would like to purchase your own air, we offer a Without Air package. You'll find the Without Air cost reduction amount on each tour page, directly under the Tour Cost Per Person. If arranging your own air, please confirm schedules with Landmark before purchasing. Please note that airline schedules are subject to change and Landmark is unable to confirm air schedules sooner than 30 days before tour departure.

Can Landmark Tours assist in finding a roommate? Yes. If you are a single traveler interested in finding a roommate for the trip, we can coordinate pairing you with an additional traveler if one is found. Please note that we will never finalize the double reservation until you have had the opportunity to thoroughly discuss the matter with your prospective roommate. We will always await confirmation from both travelers before proceeding.

What kind of hotels do you book? As a longtime tour operator, we understand the importance of quality accommodations. We select each hotel with a focus on amenities, comfort, and location, and we’re proud to list the names and cities of the hotels being used in each tour package.

Are triple accommodations offered? Yes. Some hotels offer a rollaway bed at additional cost, although we are unable to guarantee availability. Two travelers may be required to share a queen or double bed. Please be aware that this may not be comfortable for three adults. Contact us for Triple pricing for your desired trip.

I'm nervous about traveling solo. How do you help? With Landmark Tours, traveling solo doesn't mean you will be traveling alone. You'll share your trip with like-minded travelers who are all excited to see and explore, just like you! On a Landmark tour, you can feel safe knowing the details are covered and you'll enjoy many experiences that might be difficult to do on your own.

52

How many beds are in each room? Rooms will have either two queens or two double beds. Although not guaranteed, a limited number of king beds may be available and must be requested at the time of reservation.

What do the Hotels serve for Breakfast? A full breakfast will be included each day. Typically breakfast will be buffetstyle and include a selection of breads, jam, cereal, fruits, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. Most buffets will also include eggs, meats, pastries and yogurt. On occasion, a cooked to order breakfast will be available for each guest.

What is typical for an included Dinner? Dinner will vary depending on our location, sometimes being served at local restaurants or at our hotel. Most dinners offer a choice of entrée with some selections made at the dinner table and others selected ahead of time. In order to accommodate a variety of preferences and guest dietary requirements, or to facilitate a busy schedule, some dinners will be served buffet-style.

How do you arrange seating on the Motorcoach? Seating is assigned and a rotation system is used. Each day our guests will occupy a different seat. In order to provide a fair experience for all passengers, we are unable to accept special seating requests and appreciate your participation with the rotation system.

Is there a restroom on the Motorcoach? Yes, although we plan our tours so that the typical time between restroom stops is no longer than 1.5 to 2 hours.

How much time will I spend in the Motorcoach? Each tour day varies depending on the itinerary and the number of miles that are involved. Morning departures generally range from 8:00am to 9:00am. Hotel arrivals are scheduled anywhere from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. We plan our tours so that the typical amount of time between stops on the motorcoach is no longer than 1.5 to 2 hours.

www.GoWithLandmark.com

How often will I need to carry my own luggage?

Where do I meet the Tour Manager?

Whenever luggage service is available at a hotel, it will be included. Occasionally, guests will have to wheel luggage in and out of a hotel. However, most hotels offer this service.

The meeting point will be indicated in your Final Travel Documents which will be sent three weeks prior to your departure. In most cases, you will meet the Tour Manager at the airport in the city where the tour begins.

Are airline baggage fees included? Due to airline group booking constraints, we are unable to pre-pay baggage fees. This will be the responsibility of each traveler to be paid at check-in for the flight. This can be best handled by credit card.

May I request airline seating assignments? Most Landmark Tours packages include group air reservations. With group air reservations, seating assignments are controlled by the airlines and special requests are sometimes not available until check-in. Seating requests are due at the time of booking and we will communicate all requests to the airlines, but we are unable to guarantee seats. It is possible that you may not be seated next to your traveling companion. Upgrades are based on availability at the time of ticketing, approximately 30 days prior to the trip's departure.

May I extend my stay before or after the Tour? Yes. Independent departures and pre/post-tour extensions must be confirmed prior to the final payment date. Honoring these requests will be dependent upon availability of air and hotel space. Contact us if you are thinking about extending your stay.

Do I need a passport? For all trips outside of the United States, a U.S. Passport Book will be required to cross the border whether travel is by land, air, or sea. U.S. Customs suggests that your passport’s expiration date be no sooner than six months after your travel ends.

May I bring a wheelchair or other walking assistance device? Foldable wheelchairs and walkers are allowed on tour, but are not permitted onboard the motorcoach and must be stored in the baggage compartment underneath. Passengers intending to bring a wheelchair or walker must notify Landmark Tours when registering. Landmark Tours regrets it cannot provide individual assistance to a guest for walking, wheelchairs, or other personal needs. Guests needing assistance must be accompanied by an able companion who can assist them.

Are customer tips for the Tour Manager & Driver included? Tips for the Tour Manager and Driver are not included in the tour package. You are encouraged to express your appreciation for their work and contribution to your overall enjoyment of the trip.

Are tips for other services included? Tipping is included in the tour pricing for all activities prearranged by Landmark Tours. This includes hotel staff, restaurants, and additional included services such as step-on guides. Tipping for any independent meals or activities will be the responsibility of the traveler.

What attire should I pack? Climate will vary in different destinations. We will send you Final Travel Documents three weeks prior to your departure. Within these documents, we will provide local weather information so that you can properly prepare for the tour.

What is the pace of a tour? For your convenience, we have assigned Activity Levels to each tour. This is noted on each individual tour page next to “Tour Cost Per Person.” Please reference Page 88 (Terms & Conditions) for additional details and an explanation of each level.

What will I receive prior to my tour? Your final documents will be in your possession approximately 3 weeks before your departure. Documents include tour itinerary, departure and flight information, hotel information, clothing and packing suggestions, baggage tags, and any helpful hints. You will also receive a reusable water bottle to bring with you on tour and a strap for securing your luggage. Guests traveling overseas will also receive an outlet adapter and backpack!
