RIDING TOURS Beach And Mountain Ride The Snæfellsnes Peninsula stretches out into the west of Iceland. You can find many features of the Icelandic nature in this part of the country. At Stóri-Kálfalækur Farm we start our ride into the mountains and enjoy the colors of nature in Hítardalur valley. Through lava fields and along hillsides we ride down to the shore and continue our ride on the beach.

Gullfoss Geysir Southern Comfort There is no better way to visit the hot springs area of Geysir and the Golden Waterfall – Gullfoss – than by riding through the lovely countryside of South Iceland. Horse Round Up - Skrapatungurétt The ancient tradition of rounding up horses is only kept alive in the North of Iceland. A short first ride is already scheduled on the arrival day from our Riding Centre in Hafnarfjörður. This is a good opportunity to get to know the Icelandic horse and prepare for the coming days. Landmannalaugar - Þórsmörk The famous Laugavegur trek leads from the geothermal valley of Landmannalaugar in the southern highlands, south to Þórsmörk valley, at the foot of world famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. The trail lies through yellow rhyolite mountains, over black deserts, past great canyons and into the verdurous valley of Þórsmörk.

Þórsmörk - Skógar Trek over Iceland’s most recent lavafield ( 2010). Along with the Laugavegur trek, the hike over Fimmvörðuháls is probably the best known in Iceland. The trail goes from the nature reserve of Þórsmörk , up between the two glaciers , onto and then over the recently formed lava ,passing right by the two new craters.

Landmannalaugar - Skógar By combining two of Iceland’s best known hikes you get an unbelievable seven day trek through incredibly diverse landscape. From the famous geothermal area of Landmannalaugar to Skógar, this path takes us over multicolored hills and black sands, along small gullies and great canyons, through verdurous valleys, between glaciers, and past waterfalls.

In the Shadow of Vatnajökull A lightweight backpacking from Snæfellsnes to Lónsöræfi nature reserve. This tour offers the experience of the rugged landscapes to the east of the Vatnajökull glacier the largest in Europe. Reindeer roam freely in this remote wilderness and are vary of humans.

Ammassalik is known to local residents as Tasiilaq which in East Greenlandic means something resembling a lake. It is the largest village in East Greenland with about 1,400 residents. The town has a picturesque setting in a fjord surrounded by high mountains and bisected by a small river that flows through the town. Since it is only just over 100 years since the first Europeans came to the area, the traditional Inuit culture still plays an important role in dayto-day life.

Ilullissat Ilulissat (Jakobshavn), in the north of Greenland, has become one of Greenland’s biggest tourist destinations with its awe-inspiring scenery and dramatic sounds of glaciers breaking off into the sea. The 56 km long Ilulissat Icefjord that is filled with enormous icebergs from the most productive glacier in the northern hemisphere, Sermeq Kujalleq, is located in the center of Disco Bay and is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Kulusuk Tour Only a two-hour flight from Reykjavik will take us to Greenland’s beautiful East Coast, home of the Ammassalik Inuit. Kulusuk is the gateway to East Greenland and the small settlement is an excellent introduction to the way of life in a settlement in the Ammassalik area. Kulusuk lies on a small rocky island between saw-toothed mountains and extensive fjords, and it is almost always surrounded by icebergs and a glittering Arctic Ocean.
