HEARTS OF GRATITUDE - OUR CLIENTS THANK YOU! Hi, my name is Lorrisa. I grew up in a domestically violent home. I was introduced to drugs and alcohol by a “friend” when I was 12 years old. I gave away my daughter 13 months ago because I needed to get Lorissa and her daughter help for myself. Today, I have custody of her again. outside the family shelter. At the Mission I have been learning: how to have a better relationship with God, how to live clean and sober, and how to be responsible and care for others. I am most thankful to you for: a safe place for my daughter and I, the opportunity to learn how to stay clean and sober, helping me with my education and showing me that there are people who care for us and that we are not alone. Hi, my name is David. I was raised in a functional alcoholic household and was introduced to my addictions by my older brothers. Before I came to the Mission I felt useless; nobody seemed to care about David biking to his truckme. I was living in my brothers car with him. God driving school classes. led us here. At the Mission I have been learning: patience, how to control anger, that God loves you unconditionally, and that living drug-free is healthy and you feel alive! I am most thankful to you for: sober living, friends, program graduations that let others know what you can do if you try, and board members, staff & God who make all of this possible! Hi my name is Jennifer. After being introduced to marijuana when I was 15 years old, I tried other drugs out of curiosity. I barely graduated high school and went to Bible School. Shortly after, I met someJennifer in the learning center. one, and began using drugs again. My life became a living nightmare. At the Mission I am learning: that my emotions are stemmed from not being able to use drugs and that I need to learn new ways of living, that God loves a recovering addict like me and can help me overcome my fears, and that raising a family takes hard work, but with love and care you can change and make life better. I am most thankful to you for: parenting and coping skills classes, Bible Study, and the learning center... Thank you again for your gifts which are helping the homeless this holiday season! Our Mission:

To minister to the needs of the homeless of Stockton and San Joaquin County including individuals suffering from addictions, without regard to race, gender, nationality or origin.
