The Lifestyle Of The Richest And The Most Famous Of All By Cecil L. Brown, Gospel USA Magazine Publisher

t o d a y ' s International Space Station, which orbits at 249 miles high, your view of God's house would be miserably limited.

CCORDING TO THE WORLD'S STANDARDS, a man's success is measured by the number of things he owns and even by the size of his house. A once-popular television program called "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous" traveled around the world in order to introduce us to the lifestyles of some of the people who own the most things and the biggest houses. As a result of that publicity, many of those people were idolized and looked upon as being worthy of praise and even a degree of worship, because of the things they own.

But that's not all. In addition to being 1,500 miles tall, God's house is 1,500 miles long and 1,500 miles wide. It is a perfect square. (Read Revelation 21:16). It is made of pure gold, clear as glass. It has a 72-yard high jasper wall all around it, with 12 foundations (each foundation is made of a different precious stone) and 12 gates (each gate is made of one huge, single pearl). There is an angel stationed at each gate. It has a street of pure gold. The tree of life is there as well as the river of the water of life. It is filled with the glory of God. The nations shall walk by its light. In it are many mansions (dwelling rooms). The name of it is "new Jerusalem."

But friends, today I want to introduce to you the lifestyle of the One who is the richest and the most famous of all. Who is it?? God, our Father. As you already know, the Bible clearly describes to us the things which God owns, which is everything – even the cattle on a thousand hills. This makes Him the richest. But whether you know it or not, the Bible also clearly describes to us God's house.

I have written this message to everyone who is saved and Heaven bound, as well as to all of you who do not yet idolize God, with hopes that you too will surely see that God is worthy of all of your praise and worship – even if for His lifestyle alone!

What does God's house look like? Here is a brief description of it: It is 1,500 miles tall. That's right, 1,500 miles tall! The tallest artificial structure on the earth today is Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. That structure, built by man, is only 2,722 feet tall (163 floors) – which is just a little over one-half of one mile high. Just imagine how small man's one-half-of-one-mile high building will look when it is compared to God's 1,500 mile high house! Amazing. Even if you live on

For more details about new Jerusalem, also called God's city and God's tabernacle (in Revelation 21:3), read all of Revelation chapters 21 and 22. Jesus said: In My Father's HOUSE are many mansions. If it were not so, Jesus would have told us. (John 14:2). 7

Their second album, Get Ready, appeared in 1999 to coincide with the addition of another Trotter sister, Heather Martin. Kibble, Holland and Martin left the recording industry to take care of their families but returned nearly a decade later with Testimony Reloaded (2015). In February 2016, Virtue – Karima, Ebony and Heather – released Fearless – their 7th studio album. ormed in 1945 at Chicago's Highway Baptist Church (from whence comes the group's name), the original Highway QC's included talented teenagers Sam Cooke, Creadell Copeland, Marvin Jones, Charles Jones, Curtis Richardson and Lee Richardson. In 1951, Cooke left the group and joined another Chicago group called The Soul Stirrers. Cooke's replacement was Lou Rawls, himself a member of another local group, The Holy Wonders. Eventually, all of the other members of The Holy Wonders – including Spencer Taylor – would join The Highway QC's as well. In 1955, The Highway QC's released their debut recording on the Vee-Jay label. Spencer Taylor still remains as leader and spiritual 'godfather' of the Washington, DC-based Highway QC's. In July 2015, the group signed a new recording deal with First Choice Gospel Records based in Hendersonville, TN. The CEO of First Choice Gospel Records is John S. Smiley, Sr.. Smiley says, "I'm in tears to have this Pioneer, Trailblazer, Legend and Icon in Quartet Gospel to sign with us. He has such great history." This year, The Highway QC's has been nominated for a 2016 Stellar Award for Quartet Of The Year. For more information, search for The Highway QC's and also First Choice Gospel Records on

Gospel legend

Daryl Coley Passes

n the night of Tuesday, March 15th, 2016, the Legendary Gospel Icon, Daryl Coley passed peacefully with family at his side. In the entire history of music, few vocalists have been able to merge the very best of so many musical genres into a cohesive artistic vision. A nationally renowned recording artist for more than twenty years, Daryl Coley's ability to do that effortlessly, while remaining true to the message of the church he loves, has made him one of the most unique and celebrated artists of our age. A native of California, Coley was born in Berkeley in 1955 and raised in Oakland, where he spent the bulk of his developmental years influenced equally by his upbringing in the African-American church and his vocalist mother's love for Gospel, classical and jazz music. His teenage years were filled with vocal and instrumental training in school bands and regional choirs, and by the time he entered college, his talent as a singer and keyboardist was widely recognized.

Common Thyroid Disorders That Can Cause Big Problems

id you know that your body's energy, muscle strength, and mood levels are all controlled by a small butterfly-shaped organ called the thyroid gland? It is located on the front of the neck, below the Adam's apple. When the thyroid gland isn't working right, it can cause many hormone-related problems throughout the body. Here are four of the most common thyroid disorders: 1. Hashimoto's Disease: The most common cause of hypothyroidism, in which too little of the thyroid hormones are produced and bodily functions slow down. Symptoms may include fatigue, depression, weight gain, thinning hair, puffy face and intolerance to cold. 2. Graves' Disease: The most common cause of hyperthyroidism, in which too many of the thyroid hormones are generated and bodily functions speed up. Symptoms may include anxiety and irritability, weight loss, fatigue, increased or irregular heartbeat, excessive sweating, hand tremors, and frequent bowel movements. 3. Goiter: A noncancerous growth on the thyroid gland, goiter is most often caused by a decreased amount of iodine.

4. Thyroid Nodules: Solid or fluid-filled growths that appear on or in the thyroid gland. They can cause swelling in the neck and lead to trouble Services were held on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at 1 p.m. at City of breathing and swallowing. G. Harris (817)

he artist known as G. Harris (817) has started a movement that he calls "Soul Muzik" ... which is a neo-soul, spiritual, psychological, journey to gravitate, navigate and take listeners of all beliefs, race, gender and creed to a neutral location. "Soul Muzik" represents the piercing of all spiritual deficiencies that has kept people from exploring higher depths when it comes to flying without limitations. "Soul Muzik" can also be described as a force which accelerates the healing of one's internal spirit by melodic heavenly compositions, designed to be tools of repairing the broken, apathetic, contrite heart that has been lead astray and is in need of an encouraging push to stay on the path of Jesus.

label – CellBloccHeaven International – and can be sampled and purchased at iTunes, A m a z o n , S p o t i f y, Rhapsody, Cd baby, Pandora and others. Because of the growing popularity of the Soul Muzik CD and its unique flava, G. Harris (817) was nominated for Male Vocalist Of The Year and also Best New Artist Of The Year awards at the 18th Annual Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards held in February 2016 in Houston, Texas.

Music will always be a key tool to draw you to and away from the pitfalls of the world, but the most important thing to remember when listening to music is this: it is inspirational when it enters into your spirit, and it gives you courage to transform into what you were created for... and that is to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Procedure for critiquing products: A score of 1 to 10 points are awarded in each of ten ratings categories (sound quality, vocal ability, musicianship, CD cover design, packaging, etc.). The points are totaled and the 30 songs which receive the most points are listed numerically on the chart. There is a one-time fee of only $125 to have a song critiqued by us ($75 with purchase of any size ad), but paying the fee does not guarantee the song will make the chart. Making the chart is achieved solely on the merits of the song itself. Each song which makes the chart is also listed on our web site along with a link to its web site, if available, so that our readers can sample the song. To obtain a critique of YOUR song, just send us the song with payment. 17

Congratulations to

askdr. carl Dr. Carl answers your questions

The Inspired Catholic Voices

Dear Dr. Carl: (continued from a previous issue) In 1 Kings 13:11-32, an old prophet (who was a real prophet) LIED to a young prophet. The young prophet believed the old prophet, and God killed the young prophet for believing the old prophet. Are we supposed to second-guess a prophet if he/she tells us that THE LORD told him/her to tell us to do something? – Wondering

Dear Wondering: As I stated in the previous issue, when a prophet gives you a "word from the Lord," it is supposed to be a confirmation of what the Lord has already told you. When a prophet gives you a "fresh" word from out of nowhere, that's when you should use caution. God still sends prophets to offer us guidance, but nowadays, more than ever, it is necessary to carefully examine the advice given. Here are four questions to ask when analyzing the advice of a prophet: (1) Does the prophecy agree with scripture? (2) Does the word reflect the revealed character and nature of God? (3) Does the prophecy "pass through" the emotional filters of the prophet and/or the receiver? (4) Is the moral and ethical reputation of the prophet above reproach? In your question, the receiver died because he followed prophetic advice that was contrary to something God had specifically told him not to do. Today, it is still possible to fall into situations where a prophet's advice (or the advice of one in a leadership position) is contrary to God's Word. However, it is wonderful that we have the availability of Spiritual Gifts such as the Word of Wisdom and the Word of Knowledge to help us when we need to make decisions. We should always pray for guidance and seek the counsel of the Spirit WHENEVER a decision must be made. Even if you mess up, God will honor the fact that you consulted Him when you needed to make a decision. If decision making continues to be an area of challenge for you, remember – you can always SEEK Pastoral or Prophetic advice (NOT PSYCHICS) after receiving a prophecy. If you are still prone to making incorrect decisions – just confess and repent, and purpose to do better next time. Remember that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness (I John 1:19). I hope this answer moves you closer to the truth you are seeking. – Dr. Carl
