3. ...I, [say your name],...

f you desire to become a mighty prayer warrior in the earthly army of God and a valiant soldier in the spiritual battle to help establish God's Kingdom on Earth – this message is for you. First of all, you need to know the different types of prayers and also when and how to use each type. Here is a partial list:

4. [From the list below, speak the action(s) you are taking. (The type of prayer is shown in the parenthesis following each action. To help build your faith, do some research and study some of the powerful Bible prayers prayed by Elijah, Jesus, Paul and other mighty prayer warriors).]

* Prayer of faith * Prayer of intercession * Prayer of intervention * Prayer of praise * Prayer of submission * Prayer of supplication * Prayer of thanksgiving * And there are others

Actions (listed in alphabetical order) * Adjure (faith) * Ask (supplication) * Beseech (supplication/intercession) * Bind (faith) * Bless (faith) * Call forth the full manifestation of (faith) * Cancel (faith) * Cast out (faith) * Come against (faith) * Command (faith) * Declare (faith) * Decree (faith) * Intercede on behalf of (intercession) * Loose (faith) * Pray that (faith) * Proclaim (faith) * Rebuke (faith) * Release (faith) * Say unto you [i.e., rise and walk, etc.] (faith) * And there are many others

For example, when you use a prayer of faith, you should talk to the target – not to God! A prayer of faith has at least six elements which you should include. They are: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

Name the target Establish your authority Name yourself as the channel of power Speak the action(s) you are taking Quote the Scripture(s) you are standing on Close the prayer

Here is an outline for a prayer of faith, using the six elements above, which you can customize and use to fight some of your battles: 1. [say the name of the target (whether it is a person (i.e., Joe Smith), a body part (i.e., heart or brain), a condition, circumstance, problem, Satan, etc.)],...

5. ...For it is written... [quote the Scripture(s) on which your prayer is based]. 6. I now call forth the full manifestation of this prayer and I decree it is done; and I thank the Most High God and give Him all of the praise and glory forever, in Jesus' name, amen.

2. the name of Jesus of Nazareth, whose I am and whom I serve, and by the authority given unto me by the Word of the Most High God,...

n August 15, 2019, 14-time GRAMMY®-winning artist/songwriter/producer, Kirk Franklin, was honored with a Billionaire plaque from Pandora. The music streaming company surprised Franklin by presenting him with the prestigious award on-stage at the Los Angeles stop of his Long Live Love Tour. Franklin was moved by the honor. How To Track Your Music On Radio (Without a Radio Promoter) Based on the resource booklet, "Getting Radio Airplay," by CDbaby

f you've got a great new release that you really believe can get some serious radio play, but you just don't have the budget to hire a professional radio promoter, don't let that stop you! With a good plan and some free time, you can do a decent job as your very own radio promoter. Here are the 8 steps to get it done:

casually ask what their preferred protocol is for you to check up on the actual reception your album is getting from their listeners. Feel free to check back every few weeks to see if it's still in rotation. You might feel like you're being a pest, but we've actually heard from many radio DJs that they appreciate when someone calls to remind them to play a certain song. Otherwise, they tend to feel like they get into a programming rut and just start playing the same old things.

1) Plan to assemble 100-200 mailings. If you will be sending physical CDs, this package should include 1 CD (remove the cellophane wrapper!) along with an artist One-Sheet. Do not add extra photos and articles about your band, as this is will be perceived as clutter and unprofessional. Also, don't send extra copies of the CD and ask the recipient to pass them around the station.

6) So you got played. If you hear that a station has added your music to their playlist, it's important to follow up with a thank you. Ask them if there is anything that YOU can do for THEM. Maybe they'd like you to record a bumper for them (one of those little radio plugs where a band says "Hey, we're Led Zeppelin and you're listening to KLED!"). Perhaps you could send them free discs for them to give away in a station promotion. The options are unlimited.

2) Develop a targeted list. Put together a targeted list of radio stations, as well as commercial specialty programs (like local or unsigned feature hours) that are appropriate for your genre. You'll have the most luck if you limit this list to a geographic area that you can realistically tour through at least 3 or 4 times a year. 3) Know whom to contact. It's important to address your package directly to the person you are trying to reach at the station. In most cases it will be the program director or music director). If the station has a specific show featuring music like yours, go ahead and send that DJ a package as well – as they might have some input when the show's playlists are assembled. Never send your package just addressed to the station as that would either get lost in the shuffle or thrown in the garbage.

7) Keep in touch. If a station has shown interest in your music, be sure to keep them up to date with your music career (outside of pitching your music to them). A quarterly email highlighting tour dates and recent career achievements such as awards won should suffice to keep you in their consciousness. Don't add them to your fan email list unless they ask to be added!

4) Be clear with your intentions. Are you promoting a specific song? Are there certain songs that work better for radio? It's important to be clear to the program/music director, as they often don't have time to listen down to your entire album and decide what will work.

8) Timing is everything. Make sure you're ready and willing to do all these steps in a short period of time. Just like the press, your big chance to make any significant splash with radio is when your CD is new (1-3 months old), so all your ducks should be in a row at release time.

5) Follow up two weeks later. After you send out your CDs to radio, check back in a couple weeks by phone or email to make sure they received it, had a chance to listen, and ask if they'll be adding it to their playlist. Don't put up a fight if they say NO. Just politely ask "why" and say thanks if they tell you the reason. If they say yes, give them a quick thanks and

What Is An ISRC Code – And Why Do You Need It?

n International Standard Recording Code (ISRC) is a 12digit alphanumeric code that can be permanently encoded into a sound recording or music video as its digital fingerprint. An ISRC enables your product to be automatically identified when it is played on the air or streamed anywhere. ISRCs are used globally by download sites and collecting societies for music tracking, royalty payments, rights administration and more. An ISRC is REQUIRED by most digital distribution outlets and download sites, such as Amazon, in order to sell your content online.

clients or customers. ISRC Managers, such as, and others, can provide individual ISRCs to independent artists or to those who do not wish to manage their own ISRC assignment. ISRCs are issued as a part of the business arrangement between the company and an artist. Regardless of how your ISRCs are obtained, you will be able to use them for the life of the recording. There is no distinction between ISRCs issued by ISRC Managers and those issued using your own Registrant Code. Remember... ISRC codes are to the digital world what the UPC code is to the retail world or the ISBN number is to a book. To become a registrant or manager, visit

How can you obtain an ISRC code? Two ways: First, recording rights owners based in the United States can apply for a Registrant Code through the U.S. ISRC Agency. This Registrant Code will allow that label, company or independent artist to assign ISRCs for all of its past, current and upcoming recordings. There is a one-time $95 application fee for the Code. Procedure for critiquing products: A score of 1 to 10 points are awarded in each of 10 ratings categories, including sound quality, originality, talent, air play received, national charting elsewhere, marketing and even the design of the CD cover. The points are totaled and the 30 songs which receive the most points are listed numerically on the chart. There is a one-time service fee of only $75 to have a song critiqued by us, but paying the fee does not guarantee the song will make the chart. Making the chart is achieved solely on the merits of the song itself. To submit your song for chart consideration -- call 305-234-8689.

"Power For Living" by T.D. Jakes. How often have you cried out to God, why? Why do I struggle? Why do I have problems? Why don't people understand me? The answer: Because you are anointed! Author T.D. Jakes writes, "I used to have the wrong notion that when you are really anointed, you no longer have problems or rough times. But you show me anybody who's really Holy Ghost anointed, and I'll show you somebody who cried in the middle of the night and suffered all night long, wondering where is God." This book will help you discover how to be victorious in those times – and in life. ISBN: 9780768428384. Price: $29.99. To order, visit

"Can I Trust You?" by Bishop Huden S. Roberts. It has been said that the richest place on earth is the cemetery. This statement is true because most of us never really reach our true potential in life. This book speaks very clearly about how you ought to make the time to study and develop your God-given gifts and talents – then share them with the world. Most of our time is spent wondering if we can trust God, but in this God-mandated book, God asks you... "Can I trust YOU? Read this book and begin to discover true life – the God kind of life. Lady Beatrice Ward & Angelic Voices

Dear Dr. Carl: My father, who is a veteran of the Korean war, is in terminal stages of cancer. He never cared about me. As I take care of him, I cannot help but think about the fact that he was never there for me, but now I have to clean him and feed him and give him the care that he never gave me. I am very angry. – Angry

The Group and Their Latest Album Wins 3 Rhythm of Gospel Awards for 2019

Dear Angry: Frankly, I do not have personal experience in providing care for someone who deprived me in early life. I can tell you however, that the Bible instructs us to honor our fathers and mothers. Consider that your dad might not have had the nurturing skills needed. He may have felt inadequate or less than courageous when it came to being a father. He might not have known HOW to be a parent. Jim Crow and segregation robbed many black men of a healthy self-concept that limited their confidence as fathers. Your dad might have experienced racism on his job, only to come home to a wife who did not treat him like the King that God made him to be. The most Godly solution for you is to forgive him for whatever deprivation you might feel. As long as you hold onto the resentment, you open a door that makes you feel entitled to sin. Further, your bitterness could spring up in your children. If you don’t have children of your own, it’s a good idea for you to mentor one or two children who might also be deprived of a significant male relationship. As you fill the void in their life, you could possibly fill the void in your own. May you find the healing that you need. – Dr. Carl

The legendary, anointed and appointed, national Gospel recording group, Lady Beatrice Ward & Angelic Voices, are still on the rise. The awards are Traditional CD of the Year; Quartet CD of the Year; and Quartet Group of the Year. The Houston, TX-based group was formed in 1982 and recently celebrated their 37th Year In Ministry on March 24th, 2019. They have won numerous awards and traveled extensively. Their latest album is entitled, Lord Help Me. The group is available for booking at anniversaries (pastors, choirs, groups, etc.), conferences, banquets, concerts and more (in or out of town).
