Jerzy Janiszewski is the author of the logo. He is known all over the world for the “Solidarity” logo, which became the historic symbol of polish way to freedom and democratic transformations in this part of the world.

Kuchnia PL/Cuisine PL Polish presidency is a fantastic opportunity to promote Polish cuisine. Adam Chrząstek, one of the best-known Polish chefs, is in charge of preparing the splendid menu with Polish meals, made of native products for the high-level meetings in Poland and Brussels.

Foreign representatives and journalists visiting Poland during the Presidency will be presented with recipes for Polish meals arranged by 16 chefs, including 3 foreigners, who work in the Best Polish restaurants. The starting point for each recipe is a product commonly associated with Polish cuisine, e.g. a herring, cucumber, groats, poppy seed, game. Punktem wyjścia do każdego z przepisów jest produkt powszechnie kojarzący się z polską kuchnią (np. śledź, ogórek, kasza, mak, dziczyzna). Every recipe is preceded with the product description including the cultural background to the meal which is comprehensive for a foreign reader.
