The proposed development is Designated Development due to the impact on SEPP 14 - Coastal Wetlands with concurrence sought from Department of Planning & Infrastructure under clause 7(2) of SEPP 14. Concurrence is also sort from the Office of Environment and Heritage under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995. The proposed development is Integrated Development under Section 91 of the Environment Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and approval is also sought from NSW Rural Fire Services, NSW Heritage Office, Department of Primary Industries (Fishing and Aquaculture) & NSW Environmental Protection Authority. The application is to be determined by the Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP). Submissions made in respect of the application will be provided to the JRPP and may be viewed on Council’s website. The application, accompanying documents and environmental impact statement may be inspected during business hours at the Department of Planning, Information Centre, 23-33 Bridge Street, Sydney; Department of Planning, Gosford Office, Level 3, 107 Mann Street Gosford; Council’s Customer Service Counter, Ground Floor, Council Administration Building, 49 Mann Street Gosford and Gosford City Council Service Centres at Erina, Kincumber and Woy Woy, for the period commencing 11 December 2013 up to the close of business on 31 January 2014. During the exhibition period any person may, make a submission in writing to the consent authority. Submissions can also be made online at www.gosford.nsw.gov.au/customer/forms/ecouncil-online-forms/da-submission/ or in writing to Council’s postal address. Submissions will be made available for viewing on Council’s website. To help the efficiency of the assessment process, no late submissions will be considered. Any person who makes a written objection to the proposal and is dissatisfied with Council’s determination of the application may appeal to the Land and Environment Court in accordance with Section 98 of the Act. If a Commission of Inquiry is held, the determination is final and not subject to appeal under Section 98 of the Act.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING

Gosford Business Improvement District (GBID) will continue to receive funding from council for the 2013/14 period. This funding makes up part of a five year funding agreement and is provided on the basis that GBID will facilitate economic growth, promote business activity and focus on the coordination of events and promotions to bring people into the Gosford CBD.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING

Council has made a minor amendment to the council meeting order of business for 2014. The amended order of business will come into effect from the first ordinary council meeting in February, scheduled for 11 February 2014.
