Trials Into Blessings

You can turn your trials into blessings—if you have the right ingredients.

Are you familiar with the phrase, “When life gives you lemons, turn it into lemonade”? Sounds simple, doesn’t it? However, you have to know the right ingredients to add to the lemons to turn them into lemonade.
The same thing is true with our everyday lives. We must know what ingredients are necessary to avoid being overtaken with fear, anxiety, depression, oppression, or sin. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 tells us four things: 1. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed. 2. We are perplexed, but not in despair. 3. We are persecuted, but not forsaken. 4. We are cast down, but not destroyed.
John 14:1-4 are some of my favorite Scriptures: “Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God,
believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
As a Christian, our goal is to enter into Heaven when this journey called life ends, but only through believing who Jesus is and accepting Him as our Savior is that possible.
In Romans 10:9-10, Paul tells us, “That if thou shalt confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Many years ago at an oldfashioned altar, I gave my heart to Jesus Christ. It felt as if a tremendous weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I had never experienced anything like that before, and I could not wait to tell everyone what Jesus did for me.
I pray you will begin to search the Scriptures and find out what ingredients are missing in your life so you can overcome your everyday challenges and experience the joy and peace that can only come through knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
