Message from the President

To Our Valued Owners,

As we celebrate the new year, we are happy to report that the efforts of our leadership team, staff, and owners are making a positive difference in the Coop’s performance and outcomes. No small part of that has been the way our owners have responded to appeals to contribute both time and resources to help the Co-op function more effectively.

One crucial need at this time is for owners to run for a position on the Board. Serving on the Board is interesting, inspiring, and rewarding. Due to expiring terms, there will be three vacant positions to be filled in April. For more information about the work of the Board, click here.

Here are a few additional examples of what we are working on and the ways in which we need your continued support.

Owner Loans

To date, we have secured $125,199 in loans from owners. We sincerely thank those owners who are presently participating in the Owner Loan Program. Our goal remains $200,000 in owner loans to replenish operating capital If you would like to participate, please send your request to ownerloans@goodfoods.coop. If you have already received a loan packet, please consider completing your loan now.

Volunteer Program

Our Volunteer Program has seen a number of owners volunteering time at the Co-op during regular store hours and for special events. We can always use more volunteers! If you have an interest, please send an email to Volunteers@goodfoods.coop.

Contributions

Our program of tax-deductible contributions to the Co-op through the Blue Grass Community Foundation has raised nearly $4,000 since being established in 2024. Click here to make a contribution to the to the Good Foods Co-Op Sustainability Fund
