Chamber shines spotlight on Go Go Frozen Yogurt Contributed Report
Go Go Frozen Yogurt was the scene on June 26 for a Business After Hours event presented by the Goochland Chamber of Commerce. The new business, owned by Wenky and Alex Chen, is located at 2730 Fairground Rd. in Goochland. It is located in the Food Lion shopping center. Business After Hours provided an opportunity for the Chamber of Commerce to introduce the owners and their business to its membership. Alex said he is launching ambitious expansion plans to capture health-conscious consumers by touting low-fat
options and a mixture of flavors from tart to sweet. He also said that he and Wenky are tapping into customers’ preference for customization. From the onset, Alex said he found that creating a store that is inviting and appealing to the customer is equally as important as the quality of the product. “So, our store gives young people a comfortable environment to kind of hang out.” Alex pointed out that ice cream lovers who are looking for a healthier alternative can turn to frozen yogurt, which has the same creamy texture as ice cream and health benefits that are not available in ice cream. recent years is its low calorie count and lack of fat. A serving of the frozen yogurt, which contains live active cultures, the bacteria in frozen yogurt aids in digestion in the same way as non-frozen yogurt, has only 90 to 100 calories in a serving. “We offer a variety of flavors that rival ice cream flavors,” Alex said. “Health-conscious consumers can go out to our store and create their own favorite treat with a variety of flavors and selection of toppings for the yogurt.” Go Go Frozen Yogurt is available to host events like birthday parties, group meetings, etc., as well as serve as a site for fundraisers for any nonprofit origination.
