RS-FRESHMAN, GUARD 6-4, 204 HIGH SCHOOL Attended Lin-Mar High in Marion, Iowa, where he was coached by Chris Robertson...missed second half of senior season after suffering broken wrist and having nine stitches over his right eye after taking a hard fall in game Jan. 22...returned to action Feb. 21 for final three games of regular-season and was available for post-season...Lin-Mar won consolation championship of Iowa State 4A Tournament after losing to eventual champion Iowa City in semifinals...went 10-for-12 from field while scoring 22 points in consolation championship, including a fall away buzzer-beating 3-pointer for 67-64 win over Kennedy to cap a 20-5 season...finished fourth in tournament in scoring with 44 points (14.7 ppg) while being named to the All-Tournament team...scored 17 points in quarterfinal victory, going perfect 7-for-7 from field...named first team All-State as utility player as selected by Iowa Newspaper Association, and named to Mississippi Division first team of the Mississippi Valley Conference...team captured state title junior year of 2007 as he scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in title game... had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in the quarterfinal win over Sioux City North; 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 7 steals in the semifinal victory over Urbandale...finished third in tournament scoring with 45 points and tied for fourth in rebounding with 21 while earning All-Tournament honors...averaged 13.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 4.7 assists/game for 24-1 team...sophomore season team went 23-3 and lost consolation championship of 2006 State 4A Tournament...ranked as 19th best point guard in country and 96th best player overall by one scouting service...narrowed college choice to Gonzaga and Iowa State.
