Your day begins with a drive to the Xunantunich ruins, including 25 temples and palaces as well as El Castillo, with its panoramic view of the Macal, Mopan, and Belize River valleys. Altun Ha Maya Temples Tour

Belize City / 7 Hours / Discovery Expeditions Belize This adventure begins with a scenic drive up the Western Highway to the Cayo District, home to the ancient city of Xunantunich. The ruins are actually located on one of the highest plateaus in the area, and it’s possible to climb to the top of El Castillo, the largest temple at the site. Continue to Barton Creek Cave, where you will gently paddle a canoe into the Xibalba cave system, where Mayan artifacts are secretly tucked away in overhead alcoves.

San Pedro & Belize City / 4 Hours / Discovery Expeditions Board the tour vehicle en route to the ruins of Altun Ha (Mayan for “Rock, Stone, and Water”), where the famous Jade Head of “Kinich Ahau” was uncovered. At the entrance to the New River Lagoon, the ruins of Lamanai rise into view. While touring the site, huge masks depicting past rulers and gods seem to materialize out of the rainforest amid the chatter of birdlife and the haunting call of howler monkeys.

Cave Tubing / Belize Zipride San Pedro / 7 Hours / Discovery Expeditions Belize Your adventure to Caves Branch Outpost begins with a zip-line across a series of overhead cables criss-crossing the rainforest canopy, with stunning karst limestone cliffs as your backdrop.
