POLICIES OF ZION PARK DISTRICT SWIM LESSON PROGRAMS: 1. If your child misses a class due to illness, vacation, etc., your child will not receive a make-up lesson. 2. In case we cancel lessons due to weather conditions or mechanical difficulties, we will update the Zion Park District Website and Facebook page. We will announce when the makeup lesson will be offered at the next class. 3. Register your child early to reserve a spot in class. We strive to keep a low student ratio in our classes and when you register early, this enables us to plan accordingly, and in turn serve you better. Before test day, talk with your child’s swimming instructor and find out the progress your child has made for the next level. 4. Our swimming instructors enjoy teaching children, but all of us have different teaching styles. Please keep this in mind when observing lessons. We ask that if parents have questions or concerns please address them after the class. Parents we ask that you observe class from the pool deck away from the edge of the pool. 5. If an earlier class is cancelled due to weather, all following classes will be cancelled to keep consistency, even if weather clears up. 6. If the weather looks threatening, please call 847-746-5500 after 8:00 am to check if lessons will be held. Updates will also be available online at www.ZionParkDistrict.com and on the Zion Park District Facebook page. 7. Swim lessons have a class enrollment minimum and this may require us to adjust the schedule. We will notify parents if this is necessary. 8. Only one parent allowed on deck per swimmer.

FALL-GETAWAY—ST. GERMAIN, WI. – PART 2

Let’s head back to the peace & tranquility of St. Germain, WI. We will visit all of the places we did not make it to in the last trip! We will be staying at Jackson’s Resort in St. Germain. This resort has been family run since 1921 & is the original vacation spot on Little St. Germain Lake. Jackson’s Resort sits on 100 wooded acres with one of the most beautiful lake views. Wake up & fall asleep to the relaxing song of the loons. Some of the great attractions we may be visiting are Wildlife Center Park & Nature Center, The Rhinelander Logging Museum, Rhinelander Brewery, Rhinelander historical tour, Three Lakes Museum, Northwoods Petroleum Museum, Fraboni Chainsaw Art, & William J. Poupart, Sr. Fish Hatchery. Weather permitting, we will take a relaxing pontoon boat ride around Little St. Germain Lake & take a hike around the Jackson property. Letters will be mailed approximately 3 weeks prior to trip with specific details of the trip & forms. Please review the Overnight Trip Policy for eligibility requirements. Dates

NON-RESIDENT INFORMATION Non-residents are welcome to participate in Zion Park District programs and activities. Many of these programs require that a non-resident pay an additional out-of-district fee. The nonresident fee options are listed below. 1. Single program fee – This is an additional fee paid per program. The amount varies with each program. Check individual program listings. 2. Pass fee – This is an additional fee paid when a season pass is purchased. The amount varies according to the type of pass purchased. These fees are listed next to the pass prices. Often times a question arises as to who is a resident of the Park District. A resident must live within the boundaries of Zion Park District. It’s sometimes easy to confuse residency with a Zion mailing address. Many people in the area surrounding Zion have a five-digit Zion mailing address. These five-digit addresses are located in the county and are not within the boundaries of Zion Park District. A valid drivers license or state ID, current utility or tax bill, mortgage or lease documents, or voter registration card will help to establish your residency. The park district staff will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding residency.

RESIDENT CARD INFORMATION Residents of the Zion Park District can acquire a Resident ID card that provides them with lower rates at Shepherd’s Crook & Shiloh Park Golf Courses, Port Shiloh Pool, as well as other park district programs and services. The Resident ID card was designed to give Zion Park District residents preferential treatment over non-residents who don’t currently support the park district through tax dollars. Each card is valid for one year and is free. In order to receive a resident card, applicants must complete the Resident ID form and supply a current photo ID (driver’s license or state ID), which will be used to verify residency.
