St. Bonaventure has won 20 out of their last 23 games at the Reilly Center The Brown and White have let their last three opponents score more than 60 points. Coach Jim Crowley is two wins away from his 125th at St. Bonaventure and three from 165 career wins. Three Bonnies scored in double-digits against Saint Louis - Mitchell, Doneth and Horton (had a career-high 18 points) Senior Dana Mitchell is second in the A-10 in scoring, averaging 17.4 points per game. She has put up 18 points or more in eight out of the last nine contests. Senior Andrea Doneth entered the top 10 list in assists with 271. Duquesne enters today’s contest after a double-overtime 70-68, victory against Charlotte on Saturday. Senior Keri Pryor leads the Dukes with 12.6 points per game. UNDER PRESSURE The Bonnies scoring defense ranks 10th in the nation and first in the Atlantic 10 allowing 52.2 points per game. Only five opponents have scored more than 60 points against St. Bonaventure. There’s no place like HOME The Bonnies have won 20 out of their last 23 home games dating back to last season. Their last loss at home was against BIG EAST foe South Florida during the WNIT quarterfinals on March 29, 2008 when the Bonnies lost 80-66. Breaking the NORM Virginia was the first team to shoot better than 45 percent against the Bonnies. The Cavaliers 26 made field goals and 50 percent shooting were game-highs for St. Bonaventure’s opponents. SIX Minutes left to Go The team explodes in the second half, outscoring opponents 550-418. With six minutes left in the second half, the Bonnies have held a double-digit lead in all of their victories except Saint Louis. The biggest lead (31) with six minutes left was against IUPUI at the Christmas City Classic. 3

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Seniors Dana Mitchell and Andrea Doneth combined to score 34 points to

lead St. Bonaventure women’s basketball past Saint Louis, 75-63, at the Reilly Center in the Atlantic 10 opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon. St. Bonaventure moves to 13-3 on the season and wins back-to-back conference openers after defeating La Salle 62-57 last season. The Bonnies have now won 20 out of their last 23 home games. Mitchell led the Bonnies with 22 points going 8-of-13 from the floor and 6-for-8 from the line. Doneth pitched in a season-high 12 points only missing one basket (5-for-6) and two at the line and also dished out a team-high four assists. The classmates grabbed six rebounds apiece. Redshirt sophomore Armelia Horton also hit double figures for the Bonnies adding a career-high 18 points off just 3-of-4 from the field but hitting a career-high 12 free throws off 15 attempts. Horton pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. The Bonnies finished the game shooting 55 percent from the field (23-42). The difference maker was the Bonnies’ advantage from the free-throw line, as the A-10’s leading foul-shooting team was 28-of-35 to the Billikens’ 16-of-21. The Billikens shot 35 percent from the field. It’s Raining Threes The Brown and White have scored at least one three-pointer in 178 games dating back to 2004. The last time the Bonnies failed to convert a three-point basket in a game was on February 14, 2004 against Temple.

There’s no Place like Home The Bonnies are 8-0 at home this season. St. Bonaventure went 13-3 at home last season with losses coming against Syracuse, Duquesne and South Florida.

“Three” to be you and me Sophomore Jessica Jenkins scored six three-pointers against Virginia to match the ninth spot on the all-time list with 82. She needs 19 more to move into eighth to take former teammate Erica Schiefen’s spot with 101. Minimal MINUTES No player on the Brown and White is averaging more than 30 minutes a game. Seven of the 14 teams in the A-10 have at least one player averaging more than 30 minutes. DOUBLE your please, DOUBLE your fun In each of the Bonnies’ victories, the scoring margin has been in double figures. Quinnipiac was the closest win at 77-67 while St. Bonaventure beat Akron and IUPUI by 30 points each. Sixth Women Freshman Chelsea Bowker has been the Bonnies’ go-to woman off the bench. Bowker has a knack for long range to assist in averaging 5.9 points per game, shooting 44 percent from the floor and 46 percent from beyond the arc. Going LONG The Bonnies have scored three or more three-pointers in 13 out of their 15 non-conference games. They scored a season-high nine at Quinnipiac and against Buffalo. MOVING on Up (in the books) Preseason All-Conference first team selection Dana Mitchell moved into the third spot on the all-time scoring list after scoring 19 points against BGSU. She now has 1,742 points. She is now 132 points away from second and still trails the top spot held by Hilary Waltman by 364 points. Outside the Arc St. Bonaventure is shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc to rank first in the A-10 and fourth in the nation. Sophomore Jessica Jenkins is second in the A-10 in three-point field goals made with 44. FREE Fallin’ Senior Dana Mitchell is now fourth all-time in made free throws with 412. She needs four more to move into the top three. We’ll take your CHARITY St. Bonaventure has bested 11 opponents from the line. With two perfect performances from the charity stripe, the Brown and White is first in the A-10 rankings and seventh in the nation in free-throw percentage, going 79 percent from the line. The classmates set career-bests in points against Quinnipiac. PAINTING the town Brown The Bonnies have a knack for in-the-paint scoring as 416 of 1070 points (39 percent)have come from the lane. Opponents have been held to 272 points (32 percent) inside the paint as the defense shuts down inside shooting. Making moves towards the record book Sophomore Jessica Jenkins has already beat her total points from last year (151) in 34 games. The Ohio native already has 192 points in 16 games. Her classmate Megan Van Tatenhove currently has 176 points, just 29 away from her last year’s total (205). Seeing DOUBLE Senior Dana Mitchell broke a 10-year old record and now has 105 double figure scoring games through her career to sit first on the all-time list. Hilary Waltman is now in second with 98. G-FORCE Dana Mitchell scored her 1,700th career point in the 68-66 loss against Lehigh on December 30. Mitchell became the third player in program history to reach the milestone. She’ll take that Junior Cara Gustafson has had 12 of her team-high 19 steals in the month of December. Familiar Faces The Bonnies faced 10 of the same non-conference opponents as last year posting a 9-1 record compared to last season’s 8-2 record against these opponents.
