Summer Music Programs Open to GNOYO members and non-members. No audition required. Placement is based on
inspire young musicians through engaging and rewarding orchestral music experience. Young musicians, ages 7 to 19, are placed by audition in GNOYO’s challenging and rewarding orchestral programs. Five orchestras and three outreach programs are offered: • Symphony • Philharmonia and North Shore Philharmonia • Sinfonia and North Shore Sinfonia • Young Artist Academy • Chamber Music Groups • Endangered Instruments Program • New Orleans Boys’ Choir Each season, GNOYO also presents an annual Young Soloists Concerto Competition, three major performances, community outreach concerts, and summer programs. Participants ensemble skills, while developing the attitudes and discipline that helps them take initiative in their schools and community. Recent seasons have included a concert at collaborations with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Orleans Ballet Association. GNOYO is the proud recipient of the 2006 Coming Up Taller Award and Governor’s Arts Award in Arts Education.

GNOYO’s 10th Annual Summer Orchestras Program
The 22st annual Summer Music Festival will take place Monday - Friday, June 1-5, 2020 at Loyola University. • String Orchestra - ages 7 - 12 • Full Orchestra - ages 12 - 19 Students will have an opportunity to learn from some of the most talented professional musicians
Will be at Loyola University! Rehearsals will begin on June 23rd and will continue every Tuesday through July 28th from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
