We are asking that all parents dropping off children in the morning or picking up after school use our designated area by the flagpole. Thanks for your support!
A reminder that dogs and other pets are not allowed on GMES school grounds .
Questions for your Students Sometimes as parents we ask our students repeatedly the same question at the end of the day. We will be sharing a different question each week you can ask to get to know more about your student’s day in a variety of ways. The question for this week is: If you could switch seats with anyone in your class, who would you switch with? Why? Accelerated Reader Accelerated Reader (AR) is a program Garnet Mesa Elementary uses to motivate and monitor the progress of our students and their reading abilities. Every quarter, goals are set with students and teachers. Awards are presented at PAWS assemblies. At the end of the second quarter, there is a special incentive for students who achieved Triple Winner status during the first and second quarter. This incentive has been planned through PTO previously. We look forward to watching our students’ abilities continue to improve. Kids for College The staff at GMES believes in exposing students to the idea of postsecondary education. One way we do this is through the wearing of college gear on Fridays. The staff at GMES contributes $25 to a scholarship fund to wear jeans and a college shirt on Fridays. Last year, GMES gave two $500 scholarships to graduating Delta High School seniors.
