Hailey Huey, 20, daughter of Dustin and Shannon Huey, of Clear Lake, was crowned Miss Kossuth-Winnebago 2012. Huey received a $750 scholarship from the Miss Kossuth-Winnebago Scholarship Board and a $50 Scholarship from Cliff and Phyllis VanBerkum. She is a junior at the University of Iowa. Isabella Clabaugh, 9, daughter of Casey and Amy Clabaugh, of Clear Lake, was crowned Li’l Miss KossuthWinnebago. She is a fourth grader at Clear Creek Elementary School. Samantha’s grandparents are Loretta “Pat” Shultz and the late Cecil “Jim” Shultz of Mason City, Robert and Dorthy Nelson of Rock Falls, and the late Sam Donisi of Rock Falls. Jacob is the son of Steve and Cindy Hamm of Hazel Green, Wis. His grandparents are Robert and Leta Breiner of Graf, Iowa, and Pat and Keith Hamm of Dubuque, Iowa. Maid of honor was Megan Shultz. Samantha’s other attendants were Abbie Nuehring, Sara Renshaw and Whitney Nuehring. Flower girl was Laney Breiner. Personal attendant was Heather Skelton. Best man was Jeremy Hamm. Jake’s other attendants were John Thomas Richard, Ron Fox and Giovanni Donisi. Ringer bearer was the couple’s puppy, Socrates. Ushers were Michael Shultz and Aspen Breiner.
Music was a contemporary selection by soloist Tami Donisi and musicians Janet and Jessica Lieb of Dubuque. A reception was held at the Palace Ballroom in Farley, Iowa. Samantha is a 2004 graduate of Mason City High School and the University of Northern Iowa. She is employed by The McGraw-Hill Companies in Dubuque. Jake is a 2001 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hazel Green, and the University of Northern Iowa. He is employed by Peterson Contractors of Reinbeck, Iowa. The couple will honeymoon this December in the Dominican Republic.
