Fitzpatrick named ‘Student of Month’ MASON CITY — Katie Fitzpatrick, daughter of James and Ellen FitzPatrick, was named Mason City Noon Rotary Club’s Student of the Month, last May. FitzPatrick was vice president of the Mason City Fitzpatrick High School Student Senate, president of Mason City High School Concert Choir, and participated in orchestra and Best Buddies. She was a member of the District School Improvement Team and was selected to perform at Iowa All-State Speech, and Iowa All-State Choir for three years. She is a YIELD graduate, member of the National Honor Society, on the Principal’s List, Honor Roll, and was chosen to attend the 2009 Iowa Girls State conference. Fitzpatrick was named Mason City High School homecoming queen. She is a leader for the Middle School Youth for Christ and is active in the First Covenant Worship Team.
