What is the GPS International Academy? GPS is delighted to be opening its new International Academy location in London, England following the success of the current International Academies in Valencia, Spain and the UK. The GPS International Academy in London is based in Bracknell, West London in partnership with Bracknell Town FC. This top-class facility is home to Bracknell Town FC’s mens team and will be a state-of-the-art sports facility for our International Academy players. GPS and its current International Academies has a history of producing elite player who head on to play professionally in the UK and beyond . The goal Is to give young, talented players the opportunity to grow in a professional challenging environment. Players develop at different paces during their formative years and the GPS International Academy is able to offer the support, expertise and guidance for them to fully achieve their maximum potential. GPS Academy gives talented students opportunities to play in high level competitive matches and based on ability to play against professional academies and participate in trials at professional clubs. GPS chose to partner with Bracknell Town FC as they offer the highest quality facilities and allow us to replicate the environment that students would have at professional football clubs as well as giving our students the best possible start in their sporting life.


The Right Environment We believe that in creating the right coaching environment players will learn and develop more quickly. We always wanted to give players of above-average ability the same opportunities as those that are hand- picked at professional clubs, as well as offering those who are released from professional clubs a second chance. Besides providing an amazing life experience, the main goal of the Academy is to provide the necessary tools either to succeed in professional soccer or to play at the US College level under a soccer scholarship. The combination of our excellent educational qualiďŹ cations, our unique football programme and the opportunity to gain the FA Coaching awards, gives our students the platform from which to move either into higher education or a career within the Sports sector. Football League Access International Academy players in London will have the opportunity to play domestic Football for Bracknell Town FC. BTFC are currently in the Bostik South Central League. This league is at Step 7 of the English Football League pyramid, with the English Premier League being Step 1. Therefore, Academy players are already on the path to English League Football and Bracknell Town FC acts as a stepping stone for these players to reach the highest level. Players like Jamie Vardy and more have graduated from this level on to the Premier League in recent years. Former Manchester United legends Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are part of the ownership team at Salford City FC, who are also progressing through the league system with ambitions of reaching the highest level of League football, like BTFC. Where is the training facility and what does the site consist of? GPS are pleased to have its International Academy in London based at Bracknell Town FC. This world class facility provides an unmatched environment for learning – both in terms of the quality of its equipment and facilities, and as a residential and teaching base for our students. Facilities Bracknell Town FC is currently undergoing a redevelopment which will ensure that the club has some of the best modern playing and training facilities in English Football. Pitches By August 2019, Bracknell Town FC will also have a new 4G turf pitch next to the stadium which will be used for training purposes. These pitches ensure our students have the best opportunity to train, play and reach their true potential on world class surfaces. International Academy players will play Home games on Bracknell Town FC’s First Team pitch. This is a state-of-the-art 4G turf with a 2,500-seater stadium surrounding it. Accommodation Accommodation is provided for Academy Students at the stadium location. The brand-new housing location will consist of a dormitory-style housing facility. Does the facility have a fitness centre? Yes, the Academy at Bracknell Town FC houses a football-specific gym facility. The gym comprises a range of cardio, resistance weight machines and free weights to ensure that the players are developing their physical attributes throughout the program. The academy players will spend three sessions a week in here improving their conditioning with a soccer-speciďŹ c program designed for them. The center will also be used for recovery sessions when the players have had a game the day before.

Who are the Coaches? The GPS International Academy coaching is headed up by experienced GPS coaches who have a wealth of experience in elite Football and possess UEFA certified coaching licenses.


What courses can I study while with the academy? Academy students aged 16-18 can continue their high school education and explore PG courses through US Performance Academy (USPA). USPA provide first-class academics for our athletes training at the International Academy in London. USPA is an accredited private, online, middle & high school created for high performance athletes. USPA is designed for young athletes looking for a school that supports their unique schedule. The USPA approach specifically benefits driven students who are training, traveling, competing, and pushing to the next level. USPA has a unique focus on the student-athletes future goals and aspirations and opens up a doorway to future opportunities. USPA is widely recognised by Colleges across North America and is available to International Academy players on the 1-year and 2-year programs. We are supported by the English Institute of Sport in the delivery of the Strength and Conditioning qualiďŹ cation in the Elite gym at Bracknell Town FC. Various other professionals from clubs around the country also lend their support to the courses. We believe our range of qualiďŹ cations offers a unique learning experience which creates many opportunities for further progression in the Sports sector. We are immensely proud of our Third Year groups and the maturity they show during this transition of responsibility tfor their own livelihoods.


What else will the International Soccer Academy offer to ensure a professional experience? To succeed in Soccer, details matter – GPS know this, as a highly professional youth soccer organization partnered with Global Premier Management. Everything within the four main pillars of the game (Technical, tactical, physical and psychological) will be scrutinized to ensure this is the most rewarding professional experience for the Student /Athlete.

Sports Performance Program At the GPS International Academy we understand that every player is different and has different needs. The experienced Academy staff will analyse each players performance to ensure players are continually progressing.

Health Care, Nutrition and Insurance Program Our program will include advice to parents on Health insurance in preparation for coming to London, extensive information on injury prevention and recovery sessions, expert nutritional advice, as well as dedicated Sports Rehabilitation Partners in London.


What exit options will there be? Many international players who travel to the UK come here with the intention of progressing into professional soccer. We are here to assist players in this process. We cannot guarantee contracts with professional clubs, however we do give numerous opportunities to be noticed by high level clubs. We play regular exhibition games against professional academies, utilizing a vast list of contacts in the professional game. International players will also be notiďŹ ed of trial events they can attend in the UK or elsewhere in Europe. Outside of this, we can offer routes into non-league football here in the UK.

Can you provide assistance in getting placed back in the US? Yes, any International players who are keen on a US scholarship will be assisted while attending our London-based academy with their SAT preparation, video package and NCAA/NAIA eligibility.


Does the academy pick players up from the airport on arrival? Yes, the academy staff will pick up players and bring them to and from London Heathrow. The academy staff will then then bring you to Bracknell. Should you fly into another London airport such as London Gatwick, London Stanstead, London Luton, London City there may be a $100 charge for a taxi fare.


STATSports At the GPS Spain International Academy we use the STATSports technology in order to improve our players performance on the field and help the coaches in their planning and assessment. Players wear the units for all sessions and games, GPS International Academy training sessions are geared towards maximizing the athletic development within a soccer context so sessions are created to ensure that they replicate the demands of the game in every sense. The IA staff creates a periodized training plan that includes various cycles - within this training plan, Stat Sports technology allows the staff to recognize if the sessions are meeting the athletic demands of the game in addition to injury trends. During games, the data collated allows for position specific feedback to each player in real time. Further analysis is then provided to coaches and players after the games. STATSports is the world’s leading player tracking & analysis provider in elite sports. Amongst current clients: Manchester United, PSG, Juventus, Liverpool FC, Oakland Raiders, US Soccer, Duke University, Brazil National Team, Germany National Team.
