Starting from April 2012, Global Migration Solutions has assigned a team of 4 members to conduct a thorough study of the new rules and legislation for the coming EOI SkillSelect. We have conducted several discussions not just for our internal training but also for our clients for a better understanding of the July changes. We are providing options to some affected clients to maximize our clients’ best interests. While many other agents' would have clients complaining and suffering damages, GMS is able to provide a smooth process and regularly update our clients in a calm and professional manner. How is this possible ? The answer to this is - Because GMS cares about staff development and we believe quality staff can produce a better outcome.

Global Migration Solutions conducted an outbound team building training from 27-29 July 2012 .Through this training, we have seen the other side of our colleagues, heard their inner voices and most importantly, as a result of this training we have a better idea of each other, and we care about one another . GMS believes that only a solid team helps one another when in need and only a team that thinks like a family can conduct higher level tasks at work.

Training is an educational process. Our teams learn new information, re-learn and reinforce existing knowledge and skills, and most importantly have time to think and consider what new options can help them improve their effectiveness at work. Effective trainings convey relevant and useful information that inform our teams and develop skills and behaviors that can be transferred back to the workplace.

Business Communication is regulated by certain rules and norms. It generally involves a constant flow of information where feedback is an integral part of business communication. Organizations these days are verily large. GMS has more than a thousand clients we are communicating to on a monthly basis and we take each conversation seriously and professionally. We designed a sharing session for each of our SMO (Skilled Migration Officer) to practice their communication skills (voice, tone, words and interpretation). Our invited-trainer is giving 16 hours of training for our staff on a weekly basis.

Currently, we are developing a GMS application. This is an exciting improvement as GMS always believes if you can do your best, you will never do any less than the best.

There were 16 activities to better our teamwork, confidence and creativity. As what GMS Managing Director Desmond Ang said, “Education is a key for a better future”. Regularly educating our staff is a valuable mission for GMS. Currently we are working on a new project called “ TURN INTO HOME”. We are turning our working place into a cosy, warm, productive, efficient and friendly environment. The committee of “T.I.H.” has a few ideas to transform our office into a homely environment - not just on hardware but also our soft skills. This will create a refresh impression when you enter our office.

Legislation is a total process of lawmaking that implements policy at the governmental level. It involves a series of steps, from development as a bill to the executive implementation. As a professional Migration Agency, studying the migration legislation is necessary from time to time. Our M.D. Desmond Ang and Primary consultant James Alan Hall regularly educate themselves on any new rules introduced by the Australian Immigration and immediately educate our SMOs and VPOs accordingly. Conducting a 3 day training with GMS staff by going through the "Character V", "VAKRG" and ' M.A.J.O.R" training for human innovation has enabled our staff to understand themselves and our valued clients better.
