EF Dublin opens its door to the Junior students 13+ yrs in July and August (weeks 1327 â€“ 1335).

CULTURAL and HISTORIC SETTING Dublin is famous for literature, music, theatre, history, architecture and art. The National Museum and Galleries are free and there are many free cultural events happening in the summer.

SENSE OF COMMUNITY Dublin is a small school in a small country. Between our EF Dublin team we know all student by their names and they know who we are.
FRIENDLY, INTERNATIONAL and KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF Staff members speak English, French, Spanish, German, Czech, Polish, Italian, Portuguese. Although English is the language we use in school we can talk to our Juniors in their language in case of Emergency.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE A team of experienced teachers make sure the Junior students get a great EF experience.
EF Dublin Location •
The school is located in the heart of Dublin within minutes from the public parks where students can relax, have lunch, play outdoor games etc.
10 min walk from the Famous Grafton Street, a pedestrian shopping area with live music and street shows.
Within a walking distance from the museums, galleries, cafes etc.
Airport Transfer •
Under 16 Students must book Arrival and Return Taxi Transfer. The immigration office request a designated adult to meet a student on arrival to Dublin.
On arrival the taxi driver will meet them at designated meeting points: - Terminal 1- Information Desk - Terminal 2 - Spar shop
The taxi driver will escort the students to the check in area and security checks on departure day. A representative from the taxi company will be available at the airport for any further assistance required.

Acceptance letter with Host Family address Payment receipt in English to confirm that all fees have been paid in full prior to arrival. Proof of medical insurance (e.g. Erika card). For non European students please refer to Dublin entry requirements presentation.
Host family Accommodation •
Under 18 students stay in Host Family Accommodation.
Twin and single rooms are available to our underage students.
Our Host Families are carefully selected and our junior students are placed with caring, experienced, responsible families who maintain good communication with the Accommodation Office.
In weeks 1327-1333 the host family accommodation is Saturday to Sunday.
Junior Welfare â€˘
The Welfare Officer takes a special interest in Junior students and checks daily that they attend school.
Junior students should sign in at reception daily so the school can monitor their presence in school.
If a student under 18 wishes to travel they must advise the Welfare Officer. The Welfare Officer will forward a document to the Sales Office for the parents to sign. The student may not travel until the Welfare Officer has received the signed document from the Sales Office. The student will be given a copy as confirmation of approval.
Junior Welfare •
The Welfare Officer also monitors the Junior Curfew
13-15 years: 22:00 during the week 23:00 on Friday and Saturday
16-17 years: 23:00 during the week 00:00 on Friday and Saturday
The legal age for the purchase and consumption of alcohol and cigarettes is 18 years of age
EF Dublin Academics •
We offer Junior Intensive course which comprises of 26 classes per week
We do not offer Basic course
Classes are from Monday to Friday. However the school is open Monday to Saturday and students are welcome any time

EF Dublin Academics
• Specific EF junior course books are used for the junior classes. • A2, B1, B2 and also C1 levels (depending on demand)
• We also have junior specific SPIN classes i.e. Vocabulary Idioms and Grammar, Communication.
EF Dublin Activities •
We have dedicated Junior Activities leaders.
In Dublin Junior activities are optional. Direct supervision is not provided outside of lessons. A calendar of optional events is available in school and students are encouraged to participate.
Some of these events may incur an extra charge.
EF Dublin Activities • •
Example of activities We have a number of both free & paid activities, incl: Student parties, Football, Guinness Storehouse, Irish music & dance show, Karaoke, Kilmainham Jail, History, art, science & archeology museums
We offer a variety of weekend excursions incl: Wicklow & Kilkenny, Belfast, The Cliffs of Moher, Boyne Valley, Galway and Connemara, Giant’s Causeway
The prices for these trips vary from €25 - €45 with international and full weekend trips costing more
EF Dublin Activities - schedule Example of a Junior Activity Schedule can be seen including museums, bowling, movie clubs, football and much more. Also a free and paying trip is available for each day during the week

Daily travel costs are approx. €4 for students in a host family Students can get discounts with their EF membership cards Students can also get a student travel card (cost 15 Euro) to get discounts on the bus, train and Luas Students are advised to remember about the airline luggage restrictions especially upon return from Dublin
