Die GEIGE aus Cervarolo Beinahe 70 Jahre nach dem NS-Massaker von Cervarolo, einem Dorf im Apennin-Gebirge bei Reggio Emilia in Italien, versucht Italo Rovali, der seinen Großvater und Onkel verlor, anhand seiner Erinnerungen die Verantwortlichen zu finden. Dank seiner unermüdlichen Nachforschungen und einer Gruppe von Anwält_innen wird ein Prozess eröffnet. Am 18.3.1944 beging die 1. Fallschirm-PanzerDivision Hermann Göring, unterstützt von italienischen Faschisten, eine Serie von Massakern an Zivilisten in den Apenninen. Die Tragödie hat für immer das Leben von Italo und seiner Familie gezeichnet. Seine Erinnerungen leben im Laufe des Prozesses wieder auf, einschließlich der erstaunlichen Geschichte der Geige seines Vaters. Der Film Die Geige aus Cervarolo erzählt von Geschichte und Erinnerungen wie auch vom heutigen Leben. Dieses betrifft das Verfahren und das zukunftsweisende Urteil in Verona vom 6. Juli 2011, wie auch die Rechtsprechung des Internationalen Gerichtshofs am 3. Februar 2012, der nach Internationalem Recht fordert, Klagen gegen Deutschland auf Entschädigungen der Opfer des Nationalsozialismus einzustellen, anlässlich der Klagen von Opfern aus Griechenland und Italien. Der Regisseur Nico Guidetti und Damianos Vassiliadis vom griechischen Nationalrat für Entschädigungen werden zum Gespräch dabei sein.
Almost seventy years after the Nazi massacre of Cervarolo, is a small community in Italian Reggio Emilia Apennines, Italo Rovali lost his grandfather and uncle in that occasion, investigates among his memories searching the people responsible for that massacre. Due to his tireless investigation with a group of attorneys he is finally able to open the court process. On 18th March 1944 the Hermann Goering Armored Division, assisted by local fascist troops, committed a series of massacres of civilians in the Apennines. A tragedy that has forever marked the life of Italo. His memories are brought back during the process, including the amazing story of his father's violin. The film The violin of Cervarolo remembers the past, but also talks about today's life. Not only for the judgment on the process of Verona 6th July 2011, but also for the ruling of the International Court of Justice on 3rd February 2012, which accused Italy of violating its obligations under international law against accepting requests of compensation from Germany in Berlin for the victims of Nazi war crimes, on occasion of the german complaint against the demands by victims from Italy and Greece. The director Nico Guidetti and Damianos Vassiliadis of the Greek National Council Bid debts will be present.
