Guilford County Updates Appointments to UNCG and NC A&T The UNC Board of Governors has appointed four new members and reappointed four others to the governing boards of N.C. A&T and UNCG. New and returning members will serve four-year terms starting July 1 on their respective 13-member boards. The A&T Board of Trustees will get three new members:  Hilda Pinnix-Ragland, who is vice president for corporate public affairs for Duke Energy. The 1977 A&T graduate lives in Cary.  Joseph R. Parker Jr., a retired senior vice president of the former Wachovia Bank. A 1967 A&T graduate, Mr. Parker serves on the boards of the Aggie Athletic Foundation and the National Alumni Association.  George D. Mainor, who owns an agricultural drainage and irrigation company in Duplin County, where he lives. Mr. Mainor is a Fayetteville State University graduate and first vice president of the Duplin County Agribusiness Council. The new members replace Emerson Fullwood, Janice Howroyd, and board chairman Bertram Walls, each of whom had served two terms. The Board of Governors reappointed one member to the A&T board: Laura Meagher, who joined the board in 2013. Ms. Meagher, a Greensboro resident, is general counsel of VF Corp. UNCG's board will get one new trustee: Kathy Manning, an immigration attorney who lives and works in Greensboro. In 2014, she won one of UNCG's highest honors, the Charles Duncan McIver Award for public services. Ms. Manning will replace her husband, Randal Kaplan, who has served on the UNCG board since 2009. The Board of Governors reappointed three members to the UNCG board: William "Dean" Priddy Jr., the former CFO of RF Micro Devices (now Qorvo); Ward Russell, former president and chief operating officer of the Banyan Consulting Group, an employee benefits management company based in Greensboro; and David Sprinkle, a retired insurance executive and former chairman of the UNCG trustee board.
