e have all heard about being in the right place at the right time. A similar sort of principle might be said to be at work in bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms. That is: how to choose the right cabinet or closet for each of those spaces. Brenda Houle, a designer at Superior Cabinets’ Edmonton office, recommends measuring everything associated with the project at least twice then getting the intended design down on paper. “You can get graph paper, and there are a lot of places that have computer programs you can follow. You need to see with a certain company’s product what you can get and plan installations out according to the space you have.” Houle’s design colleague at Superior in Saskatoon, Jade Jabusch, says as well as ensuring the 12 I IDEAS FALL 2015
