Technical guidelines for fabric development with ABY Flexo Denim™ yarn & ABY Flexo™ yarn woven fabric

Points oints common for both Denim, work wear, shirting and uniform •

Construction: Weave in open construction by reducing ends/ inch to bring more space to weft that is ABY Flexo Denim™ yarn / ABY Flexo™ yarn to get contract and develop elasticity in the fabric and use the boil off test to demonstrate final dimensions, in case of denim it need d to strong boiling for 1 to 2 hours get full stretch results

Select 15 % finer weft count compare to rigid fabric to get desired GSM

Boil –off Test : Always perform a Boil-Off Test on your sample, before moving into bulk production. 1 meter of full width greige fabric, boil freely in water in a large pan for at least 2 hours . Dry flat & tensionless.

This test gives very important parameters to the weaver and finisher, such as: A) Maximum Fabric Weight B) Maximum Fabric Elongation C) Maximum Dimensional ional Stability D) Minimum Fabric Width Based on the boil off test result required correction need to be made in fabric constriction to get desired results

Fabric is waved as rigid fabric, The stretch /elasticity is developed automatically in the fabric after processing at temperature of about 80°c to 90 °c in the downstream processing. •

If the ABY Flexo Denim™ yarn is exposed in the construction mainly in work wear and uniform with plan weave avoid direct contact to heat that is above/close to thermal softening point).

Points to be taken care in work wear, shirting and uniform with ABY Flexo™yarn •

Blends (Fabric blending): When processing in a cellulosic blend monitor closely or avoid extreme alkali conditions such as mercerizing to prevent general tenderizing/reduction.

Wet processing Recommended broad process route for ABY Flexo™ yarn woven fabric.

Weaving with power loom, air jet, water jet , projectile

Dyeing with Disperse

Dyeing with Reactive

Bleaching (optional)

Finishing Stenter finish 140°c to 150°c

Dyeing and finishing: Cellulosic component of the yarn can be dyed with the standard process followed in refractive dyeing processing of re-generated fiber like viscose. The stretch component should be dyed with disperse dye. The normal industry practice to dye disperse component ahead of reactive. Wet processing recomendation for disperse dyeing Process

Heat setting at low temperature 140°C to 150°C, frame setting should be greater than 3 cm from dyed width, with medium or high overfeeds to get good handle and stretch. High temperature pre/post setting will reduce the amount of available stretch and may influence nfluence the fastness properties.
