ABSTRACT The theme of the adaptable city becomes central in the redefinition of an area that now requires a rethink and a general conversion, from the point of view of both production and landscape and its habitability. The project examins the issue of new forms of living, focusing on new forms of contemporary production and trade also in relation to the possible re-use of some current industrial artifacts, which we have chosen to maintain because they are representative of a history, an identity and a way of thinking space and workplaces. For this reason the design theme was first developed reading and interpretating the places, in which the identity and remembrance require today a rereading, able to select the characteristic ele ments and then re-interpret and rework new forms and new relationships through the project .
