15 Tips to Avoid Single Mom Burnout I have a tender heart for all mommas, but especially single moms. Single moms juggle a lot of balls in the air!We put on our single mom super cape and leap carpool lines in a single bound, mow our overgrown lawns, answer emails while waiting in the parking lot of our kid's dance studio and get dinner on the table by 6 pm. It is no small feat to keep everything afloat. Between children, finances, balancing the management of home and work, developing a healthy co-parenting relationship with our children's father and a whole host of other things that single moms do on a daily basis, it is no surprise that many single moms experience burnout. Burnout is defined as a physical or mental collapse. I'll take it even further and say that burnout occurs on an emotional and spiritual level as well. Collapse occurs when we are overburdened, overworked and stretched beyond our capacity. Instead of stepping back and taking care of ourselves we often push through because that is what we are expected do as moms. When momma's wellbeing is off it has an impact on the whole family. When we are mentally, physically and spiritually burned out it's not uncommon to kick into autopilot mode (It's called survival). Sure, you may check things off of your to do list, but are you present or just going through the motions? Are you living or existing? Are your kids getting the best part of you or whatever is left over? Are you living the best version of your life? My friend, God did not create you in his image for the sole purpose of checking off boxes on a task list! When you’re living in a state of burn out you lose sight of God’s will for your life. and the dreams he placed on your heart. One of the reasons we become burned out is because we aren't living authentically, and on purpose. We get so wrapped up in the busyness of the day that we neglect our mind, body and spirit. Spiritual depletion in my opinion is the most dangerous., because if we are not in spiritual alignment with God every other facet in our life will be off which can cause physical and emotional burnout. I want you to be healthy in all areas of your life and that is why I am so excited to share tips that have helped me to beat out burnout! In my upcoming eBook, "15 Tips to Avoid Single Mom Burnout," I dive into practical ways to address some of the biggest sources of burnout. Each chapter will include scripture and a suggested prayer. I'm excited to share with you prior to the book's launch these 15 tips along with a sneak peek into some of the content accompanying those tips.  Don't Allow Burnout to Rob You From Living a Life That Honors Who You Are As Daughter Of The King!
