At the 2019 edition of Fitur, Spain’s International Tourism Fair, the Basque Country contingent focused on the contrast, diversity and richness of its tourist resources. For the first time, the Basque tourist board, in collaboration with Gehitu, had a stand in the LGTBI area, where they presented a guidebook with a programme of tourist activities specifically aimed at the LGTBI community. In Bilbao, the officially declared 2019 Atlantic Rainbow Capital, they will be celebrating the annual “Bilbao Bizkaia Pride” festival from June 20 to 23. The festival features a wide range of cultural and recreational activities which reflect the proudly diverse and pluralistic city.
