1927 to 1929: Mr. Alexander C. Barker commissioned Italian craftsman to build the French Country manor at Faraway Farm. 1930s: Shortly after its construction, Faraway Farm was sold to Mr. Alfred Berol, who established the Eagle Pencil Company, and raised purebred Aberdeen Angus cattle to breed and sell at auction at the farm. 1978: Sold to current owner. In almost 90 years, The Linden Farm has essentially had only two owners!
