PROJECT: Crussh fresh juice outlet

ASSIGNMENT AUTHOR: Alya Rizvi START DATE: 05101109 SUBMISSION DATE: 01104109

LECTURER: Alya Rizvi, Joe Lynch & David Falcioni

Aim The aim of the project is to focus on broadening your creative thinking skills in generating, developing and communicating ideas. Through the process of investigating and exploring appropriate visual material, and the application of ergonomics and anthropometrics, you will further develop your knowledge and skill, and learn to produce design work that communicates ideas effectively. Project Brief Crussh presents a healthy alternative to fast food outlets, offering busy city workers a selection of juices, smoothies, soups, sandwiches and salads. James Learmond began Crussh as a single cafe selling everything he wanted to eat for lunch but couldn't find. "Eight years on the company is the UK's leader in the fresh juice and smoothie bar market, whizzing up fresh fruit juices and smoothies right there in front of the customer .... " www.crussh.com

Crusshs long standing commitment to a healthier environment has included projects such as biodegradable cups and in-store recycling, encouraging customers to go green and recycle old newspapers by placing papers in the recycling bins found exclusively in Crussh stores. (There will be a visit to the Surface Design Show on Wednesday 11th February 2009 to view the Green Surfaces exhibition. Please register on line www.surfacedesignshow.com

)

Their flagship store, to be opened on Westbourne Grove presents the opportunity to 'go green' you're your role as an Interior designer you have been invited to explore the spatial layout and the design language necessary to submit a design proposal that adheres to an 'environmentally friendly' interior where customers can eat and drink healthily. The lighting design (pendant or wa/D for the store is to be made from recycled newspaper. (You may consider entering the Metro recreate2 competition. Entries are to be received by
