Our history Constance Hotels Services Ltd. is a subsidiary company of the Mauritian group of Constance, founded in 1920, its principal focus then being the sugar industry. The group has since diversified its activities to include the following key areas: Electrical Energy, Commerce, Real Estate, Banking Services, and Tourism. The tourism sector of the company is known as “HOTELS CONSTANCE” whose primary objective is the following: “ To consolidate and develop a new generation of luxury resorts, hotels and lodges, each with a unique and distinct identity, offering a variety of exclusive products and services, responsive to a new clientele”.

Our Philosophy “Hotels Constance” has always advocated a new concept of luxury resorts, hotels and lodges which takes into consideration their strong roots, their heritage, and their long tradition in the art of living. Their exclusive assets are in full harmony with nature at its purest, and respond to the needs and expectations of the new up market International “clientele”. CONCEPT Exclusivity, Emotion and Excellence A new generation of de luxe hotels: “the new elegance” in harmony with the long-lasting trends of leisure hotels. Hotels located in extraordinary sites, unique in their beauty and in their environment. Exclusive hotels by virtue of their location, secluded, safe and peaceful. Hotels with dream and fantasy which add content to the product. An architecture which espouses the contours of the product: hospitable, friendly, purified, integrated and disseminated in nature, majestic but mindful of human dimensions and with primary natural materials like wood, stone, marble; and having water for element. Hotels with a contemporary decoration in line with modern trends and even so smoothly in order to share and blend in the comfort. An accommodation, (mainly in suites and in private villas, spacious), a space equipped with all amenities. CONCEPT Ultimate and comfortable A Lodge amidst the most beautiful animal reserves, in contact with animals roaming in complete liberty. The Lodge is accessible mainly by private plane thanks to its own landing strip. A Lodge consisting of tents, with perfect security and a unique feeling of closeness to nature. A private tent with a spacious room and a bathroom with all amenities (both shut off from outside), a terrace with wide vistas on nature, and with a private swimming pool. The Lodge overlooks a lake where the animals can be observed from the bar and the restaurant. The Lodge organises its own private safaris in small parties several times a day, always under the guidance of rangers. To crown the discovery, the Lodge offers also an international cuisine made up of local produce, with picnic meals and evening drinks at sundown during safaris in the bush. The Lodge caters for relaxation with its massage centre.

Opening of the Belle Mare Plage Hotel with 15 self-catering bungalows and 30 rooms.

1990

Opening of the New Wing of Belle Mare Plage with 56 Prestige Rooms and 6 deluxe suites. A further 66 Prestige rooms were added in 1997 bringing the total number of rooms to 210.
