1 Sainsbury’s focused on inspiring shoppers to be more healthy! As customers entered the store, health advertisements were seen on digital 6 sheets which eluded to the healthy living take over in the seasonal aisle. This, paired with Back to School and general merchandise promotions, made it a great one stop shop!
2 Following along the same themes as Asda, Morrisons’ January promotions included everything shoppers could need to kick start 2017. This event spread throughout the store and wasn’t restricted to the seasonal aisle.
Surprisingly, we didn’t see much from Tesco. Their seasonal aisle aligned with the theme to stock up for the new year but there was nothing that stood apart from the rest.
1 Tesco’s omnichannel Helpful Little Swaps event really caught our attention this month! We thought it was a great idea to show shoppers exactly how they benefit by small healthy changes – and save money doing it! This event tied in all stages of the customer journey as they targeted online shoppers as well as reminding people at the front of stores, which allowed their messaging to remain at the forefront of shoppers minds.
This year, Morrisons’ January sale was pretty standard. Not much stood apart from the crowd but we loved the colourful POS which helped us spot the deals throughout store and online.
Sainsbury’s included loads of big brand names in their Healthier Choices sale, particularly in homeware and general merchandise products. Their seasonal aisle was inspirational as barkers jumped out at us with the discounts clearly marked, so shoppers could see how much they would be saving!
