Redefining Luxury Introducing 164 West Concord Street

2

A Unique Opportunity Amongst the many historic townhomes that Boston’s South End is so famous for lies a truly unique alternative. After years of meticulous restoration and innovation, six captivating townhouse style homes have transformed this once revered pudding stone church into a symbol of style and luxury. This extraordinary townhome with unparalleled attention to detail, designed by Hendren Associates, is nearly 5,000 sq ft on two levels. Contrasting the original exposed interior stonewalls are perfectly proportioned rooms of the highest quality with contemporary finishes and state-of-the-art systems. The masterfully crafted Ciuffo custom kitchen is a lesson in quality and taste while incorporating the ultimate in cooking technology. Contained within the soaring 13-foot ceilings are the finishes and details seldom found outside of a custom build. 8-inch wide European white oak and 8-foot tall doors thoughtfully continue the grand scale. The bathrooms contain the finest quality tile and hardware in a carefully chosen organic palette complimenting the original stone details. Original architectural details were captured and retained, seamlessly blending with the modern design aesthetic. Apparent throughout are quality materials such as triple glazed casement windows, sound lined HVAC ducts, 4 zone hydronic heating and sound proofing insulation – all painstakingly fitted to the highest standards. The unit includes 4 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths, as well as separate living, dining, family and laundry rooms. It boasts professionally landscaped gardens and terraces. Included are two oversized garage parking spaces with direct garage access to the home.

Located in the Heart of the South End The South End is one of Boston’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Originally designed by Charles Bullfinch with many charming squares and parks, it was the home of affluent merchants and businessmen in the mid-to-late nineteenth century. It boasts the largest collection of Victorian brick row houses in the country --most have been restored or renovated, and many have graced the pages of interior design magazines. The South End was the jazz capital of New England in the 1940s and 50s and eventually grew into a thriving artists’ enclave in the 1970s-1990s. In a nod to its past, galleries still launch new shows on the first Friday of every month and artists open their studios to the public twice each year. Gallery visitors might drop into the Beehive for live jazz and a bite to eat, or head to Wally’s Cafe for an intimate and authentic jazz club experience. The SoWa Open Market draws visitors from outside the city every weekend during spring and summer, many of whom enjoy brunch at one of the neighborhood’s many top-rated restaurants. Since the late 1990s, the South End has been home to many of the city’s most acclaimed dining establishments and boutique shops. Diners might catch a play at the Calderwood Pavilion or one of the many venues in the nearby Theater District. The South End has become one of Boston’s most desirable neighborhoods, rivaling Back Bay and Beacon Hill. Its proximity to other neighborhoods and rich cultural heritage offer the ultimate metropolitan lifestyle.
