With coolish autumn conditions prevailing last Sunday’s golfing preferred competition was a Stableford event played over 9 holes. Winner on the day was Justin Allchurch with 18 points, and the runners up accolades went to Wally Broome with 16 points. The NAGA award was convincingly won by Greg Budden with a superb 6 points. Unbelievably there were no novelty awards for long drive and nearest to pin. The birdies nest will also prosper as hole 7 was drawn from the barrel and no birds were recorded on this hole. The Golf Club bar is open from 10.30am on Sundays serving icy cold refreshments and the best pastries in town; Golfie’s the place to be! Golf this Sunday will be a 9 hole event with the format to be decided on the day, with everyone to be assembled by 7.30am and all welcome. Well that’s all the jibber for this week, so until next week I’ll see you in the bunker or the 19th and remember winners are grinners!
