For twenty years Primac is specialized in the designing and manufacturing of machines and installations for plastics processing. Founded in 1985 with the manufacturing of hot printing machines, the company employed its team to a constant research and development, to comply with the different market requirements. Primac realizes a wide range of vacuum sizing tanks (with single or dual formation chamber), cooling tanks, haul-offs for pipes and profiles also for dual extrusion and at high speeds, furthermore, tanks, haul-offs, slotting machines and perforators for corrugated pipes. In the field of corrugated pipes, Primac got ready a set of machines able to process pipes from diameter 110 mm. to 1200 mm., allowing to get a pipe with assembled coupling or socket at the end. For the range of diameters from 500 mm. to 1200 mm., the socket is welded by material bringing on the pipe, while, for the smaller diameters, the welding is by frictioning. Primac suggests also another solution to the raw materials transformers in possession of the couplings: the automatic insertion both of the rubber seal and of the coupling. Cutting devices for copper pipe, profiles cutting by hot blade, pipes cutting without material removal and special cutting devices, seals insertion devices, working islands and packing equipments realized according to the requirements of the raw materials transformers, complete the production line. Over the years Meccanostampi has left its mark on the production scene of high precision moulds for technopolymers. All this without ever forgetting man who has always been at the centre of the company's strategies. Since its origins, in 1965, its strategy has been clearly defined: to have a specific niche in the market sector concerning the production of high precision moulds for technopolymers. In only a few years, also thanks to important investments in terms of technology and an increase in skills, there has been steady growth. Today Meccanostampi has four factories, 200 employees and over 140 presses, from 30 to 400 tonnes, and is able to offer a high quality solution in design, mould construction, moulding and other complementary assembly and fìnishing The availability of high technology together with manual skills and experience gained in the manufacture of thousands of moulds, allow us to carry out complex production in an effective and efficient way. Accuracy in manufacturing phases guarantees high quality standards for the moulded items that will be supplied to customers, as well as reliability over time of the manufactured equipment. Meccanostampi's customers are companies of International standing and leaders in their sectors. The sample items consist of highly technical components for various industriai sectors sharing the same need for precision and total reliability. The concept of quality, right form the start of Meccanostampi's activity, has been demonstrated in its high precision, the top-level efficiency of its staff and continuous drive to improve company processes. Its Quality System Management has been certified since 1997. Since that year the company, directed towards Total Quality Management, has defined and organized its strategies according to the management model referred to as E.F.Q.M. ACTIVITY & PRODUCTION Thanks to its global reach STAR is able to foresee future needs very early, developing new products in a very timely manner. Use of robots is important to increase the productivity of the factory, for this reason Star is continuously developing its products in order to give new solutions to customers. Moreover Star is able to satisfy all the requests of customers, for what concern special automation. Our product range covers widely all needs of handling for IMMs from 30 to 5000t. Our product range starts with the Sprue Pickers, series SP-FIV, with fully pneumatic operations , 2 available sizes for IMMs till 300t . Successive step in our product range is the CSe series. With this series Star Automation Europe gives the possibility to equip the IMM with a 3 servo axis with limited investment. The CSe series is considered an “ entry level” ,as the first step towards successive top grade of automatization . The 3rd positions of our product range is occupied by our BASIC ROBOT , series Ex. This series occupies the most important parts of the requests and it is really on this series that Star Automation Europe has focused all its efforts in research & development , putting on the market the last new model born, starting from the next Spring. The height performances in speed, acceleration and energy saving of the EX series do not fear comparisons . The last and more prestigious position is occupied by the ultra high speed robot . They are designed and manufactured in “top entry “ and “side entry” versions, especially suitable for packaging applications, where Star Automation has got a long and reliable experience, also in the IML field .
