Michele Beattie | Finance Leader, Australia
Michele is a Principal at GHD with 35 years experience in finance. Michele's experience has been gained in Australia and internationally. Michele began her career in Melbourne, and has since worked in Indonesia , Europe, Middle East and works closely with GHD's Philippines teams. She has strong connections across the finance industry, is a key influencer within GHD, and a passionate advocate for I&D. Michele is on the ALT, a member of GHD’s Global I&D Council, Executive Sponsor for the LGBTI+ Employee Reference Group, on GHD’s RAP Advisory Committee and actively promotes and supports leadership that motivates and enables others to be their best.
Tasos Katopodis | Cost Optimisation Leader
Tasos has been in professional services for 30 years, initially as an environmental consultant. In more recent times Tasos has been a senior operational leader running GHD's Newcastle and then Sydney operations as well as the Remediation Contracting business in Australia. In his current role, Tasos focuses on developing more rigorous approaches to cost management at GHD in concert with our carbon neutral and sustainability aspirations. Tasos is passionate about I&D, particularly LGBTI+ inclusion. He is a champion of social justice and a strong advocate for minorities and groups that have faced historical hardship and discrimination.
Ash Haroon | Finance Manager - ACT/Southern NSW and PNG
Ash joined GHD in 2013 and is a Finance Manager with more than 17 years’ experience in utilities, construction, and project management. Ash has worked for organisations like Jemena, Holcim and Alstom. His experience includes managing project accounting, business partnering, standardising management reporting and providing analytical and strategic data.
Ash is a GHD Associate, Chair of our LGBTI+ Working Group and Allies in Australia, and a member of our I&D Working Group in Australia.
Stuart McLean | Talent & Diversity Leader, APAC
Stuart joined GHD in April 2012 and is currently the Talent & Diversity Leader for Australia/ APAC. He has held various People Manager roles at GHD. Stuart previously worked for Ernst & Young in a variety of HR roles in Perth, Brisbane and Oceania spread over nine years. Prior to this Stuart had four years HR and recruitment experience in the UK and Northern Europe working across software supply chain and insurance industries.
Tim Dilnot | Marketing & Communications Leader, Australia
Tim is a senior communications and marketing professional with more than 25 years’ experience in professional services. As a member of GHD’s Inclusion & Diversity Reference Group, Tim is passionate about ensuring our communication activities are inclusive, engage target audiences and add value. He is responsible for leading the development and implementation of both internal and external marketing and communication campaigns for all our I&D programs at a national level, including LGBTI+.
Sami Ali Khan | Geotechnical Engineer
Sami joined GHD’s Sydney Civil Structures Group in 2011 where he worked on numerous infrastructure projects before moving into the role of a Geotechnical Engineer in 2016.
At the start of 2017 Sami joined the National LGBTI+ Reference Group and the Sydney’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee as its first sole LGBTI+ pillar lead and has since been involved with promoting LGBTI+ inclusion and awareness in the Sydney Region.
Madeleine is a young professional who delivers authentic and engaging communications across Australia at GHD. Madeleine works with colleagues nationally to coordinate, develop and execute a range of creative content internally and externally from social media, media releases, people stories and campaigns such as National Reconciliation Week and Pride Month.
Madeleine has a particular interest in promoting and helping GHD deliver on its Inclusion & Diversity commitments and initiatives, is an LGBTI+ ally and advocate for all aspects of I&D.
Geraldine Saunders-Morgan | Executive Assistant to CEO APAC, Finance Leader Australia and Manager Victoria
Geraldine is a senior Executive Assistant professional with more than 22 years of experience in private and local government organisations, and has been with GHD for over 16 years. She previously held roles within GHD as Business Group Coordinator and Group Administrative Assistant.
She works across a wide range of areas nationally and is a passionate LGBTI+ ally.
Shinta is a member of our Finance Shared Services Credit Control team. Prior to joining GHD in 2020 Shinta worked as Project Finance Administrator for WSP Australia, where she also co-led WSP’s Pride network. In this role she was involved in promoting awareness and building an inclusive workplace through training and events, partnering with organisations such as Pride in Diversity and Out for Australia. Shinta is passionate about building an inclusive workplace for her fellow employees. Outside of work, she is regularly involved in various LGBTI+ events and programs, including a mentoring program.
