Give thanks with a grateful heart; give thanks to the Holy One; give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ,... His Son.

2010 Women's Conference “Women on a Mission” was the theme for this years three day weekend conference. If the mission was to transform our spirit and stir our souls… mission accomplished. The conference kicked off on Friday night with Minister Phyllis Frazier who spoke the Word regarding being made UP when we should be made OVER. On Saturday the conference began with breakfast, prepared and served by the men of GGBC. The great breakfast and service was followed by classes led by anointed women of God who spoke on topics which included Roles of Women in Church, the Home & Society, Our relationships with each other and teen girls discussed relationships and

dating. The younger youth enjoyed cooking sessions. Vendors had an opportunity to display and sale their items ranging from church hats, to hand made jewelry. At the end of class sessions the women gathered together for prayer and to remember those who have gone on during the year. The final day, Sunday Service brought us two women on different ends with the age spectrum but both with a powerful Word. Minister Eddie Moser (8:00am) spoke to us regarding sending Judah (praise) first. Pastor Flora Winestock (10:30am) who at 80+ years of age brought words of wisdom that will be embedded in our minds for a lifetime. After receiving our mission we are now prepared to “live out our purpose.”

BRAVO to the GGBC youth for leading the October 31st, 10:30am service. The youth participated in every aspect of the service, from Worship Leader, welcoming visitors, invocation and responsive reading. The Girl Scouts served as ushers and each dance ministry gave an outstanding praise performance. A job well done to all the youth who took part in the service. On October 30th at the Winston-Salem location, Connected to Christ performed. You can see clips of their performances on the pictorial site (Flickr) in the Youth Day sets.
