“The Power Within You” You can change the course of a day when Satan has negative plans for, by spending time with the Lord, especially when you sense any attitude or behavior in yourself that's not Christlike. Jesus said, 'without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) On the other hand, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil 4:13)

fester. Sometimes we want to forgive and do what's right, but we find doing it difficult. More often than not, the right thing to do is the hardest thing to do, not the easy thing. That's when you need to pray and allow God to talk to you through His Word. Only then will you find the strength to do the right thing.

Negative feelings are like unwelcome house guests: the worst thing you can do is to invite them in. You may not be able to override them in your own strength, but if you seek God's help He will enable you to walk according to His ways, not by your negative emotions and perspective. 'But what if someone offends me?' The Bible says we're not to be oversensitive or easily offended.

Remember, you're in a war, and the battle begins the moment your eyes open each morning. To win, “be strong in the Lord… Put on the whole armour of God having girded your waist with truth… put on the breastplate of righteousness… having shod your feet with… the gospel of peace… taking the shield of faith… And take the helmet of salvation… the sword of the Spirit… praying always… in the Spirit… speak boldly……..”(Eph. 6:10-20)

Actually we are commanded to forgive those who hurt us, not letting things

The Andersons Yvonne - Levi - Jay

Congratulation to MIT Jay and Deaconess Yvonne Anderson on the arrival of their blessing - Master Levi Javon Anderson. The Andersons became proud parents after adopting baby Levi. They are grateful and still overwhelmed by God’s blessing. They said the biggest change in their lives is “Levi has put things in perspective.” “Everything we do now focuses on Levi as he has become our primary priority.” Jay and Yvonne began this process with prayer and waited on the Lord for two years when their prayers were answered. They both agreed that whether or not the Lord’s answer was yes, no or not yet, they would still remain faithful to God. During this adoption procedure, they witnessed their spiritual growth. The process required them to take parenting classes which taught them the value of focusing their energies on the growth and development of Levi. They expressed appreciation for the prayers and support of their church family. They anticipate their return to Greater Galilee the first Sunday in April.

Your Body - His Temple What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Paul tells us to glorify God in our body, as well as our spirit. So how can we treat his body as a temple? Simply by making better choices in what we take in. This includes food, liquids and medicine. How can you correct what is already done. Fasting! Fasting can be health building if done properly. Healthy fasting can be done every few months. It helps to cleanse us of environmental toxins that we cannot avoid. It helps us detoxify from the "mistakes" we

made in our diet. It gives our digestive system a much needed break. If you are fasting and replacing it with unknowingly unhealthy items – you’re defeating the purpose. An extended distilled water fast can be unhealthy. Add lemon juice to your water. Most of us are already deficient in nutrients and cannot afford to go deeper in the hole. A juice fast is the safest and best way to fast. Fresh, organic, raw vegetable juices should be consumed during a fast. Maintain some form of calcium while you fast. Remember you need certain nutrients in your body regularly to maintain good health.

In the last issue we discussed ways to help reduce your grocery bill. Now that we know how to save money in the store, plan meals & save those leftovers for lunch. Eating macaroni and cheese, salad and Hamburger Helper or even the occasional Ramen Noodles every night can get old fast. Treat yourself to a meal at a restaurant from time to time, just be sure to keep it within reason.

Lots of new restaurants offer discounts and specials to attract customers. Take advantage of the 2 for 1 deals/ coupons. If you are single save the extra meal for lunch or dinner the next day.

Limit yourself: Avoid making restaurant visits an everyday event. Not only will it save you money, but it will keep your weight in line. Treat yourself once a month. Select a place that offers large servings. Avoid the buffets unless you can really eat your money worth.

Avoid weekends: Everybody goes out to eat on the weekends. Restaurants may limit specials and coupons during this time. For the best deals, visit during the week.

Look for new restaurants:

Go out for lunch instead of dinner: Most restaurants are cheaper at lunchtime. When you decide to treat yourself, go out to lunch and stay in for dinner.

Drink water: Save a few dollars on your bill by drinking water instead of soda or alcohol. Notice they don’t list the cost of soft drinks or spe-

All these new commercial fisheries-of-men are totally killing my personal evangelism efforts cialty drinks on the menu. This affords them the privilege of changing the price at any time, day or week. Soft drinks and tea on average cost 1.99 - 2.49 although you can get a refill, do you really get your money worth? Grocery stores sell 2-liters for .99 1.29. Cure your caffeine craving at home for less. Bring leftovers home: Restaurant portions are huge, generally twice the size of a recommended serving. Ask for a doggy bag and bring the leftovers home. Now that you are operating on a full stomach, Next month it is time to take a look at what you’re wearing and how to decorate your home. Keep saving those dollars.

A New Extension of Greater Galilee…… 1 Church - 2 Locations Growth in Ministry is always pleasing to God especially when souls are being saved and His work is being carried out. We have been blessed with a Pastor that has a passion for saving souls, preaching and teaching the word of God. With his passion and vision Greater Galilee has been able to secure a location to hold additional worship services. The inaugural service was held on Saturday, February 6th. The Saturday worship service was established to provide an alternate worship experience for those Charlotte members who reside in the WinstonSalem, High Point and Triad area. Also to reach those who are un-churched, unsaved and those whose work schedule doesn’t permit them to attend a regular Sunday Service.

Galilee on the Move

Just like a Sunday service, Greater Galilee Midway offers the same worship experience, Church school, praise and worship, singing and most importantly, preaching of the Word of God. Since Midway is in it’s growth stage, members of Charlotte (Trustees, Ministers and Musicians) have been in place to support the new ministry.

The Midway location has been blessed to have the dedication and talented voices of Intimate Praise, who has rendered music for the service on every Saturday. Intimate Praise is comprised of students from Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State. During the first month of service attendance has averaged 55 in attendance. Growth is this ministry has begin on a high note with eight new members. Continue to pray for the success of the Midway location.
