is for Zwilling
Still looking sharp after 280 years. The Zwilling J. A. Henckels AG was founded in 1731, making it one of the oldest companies in the world. It is based in S olingen, where the company was originally founded. Cutler Peter Henckels registered the twin symbol in the Solingen knife maker’s trades register on June 13th, which in astrological terms meant the company was a Gemini (“Zwilling” in German). Zwilling’s product portfolio includes more than scissors and knives. The company also produces saucepans, cutlery and beauty and hairdressing supplies. Zwilling’s red multipurpose scissors are a classic that can be found in almost any home in Germany. They have been an indispensable kitchen utensil for more than 75 years and can even be used to open cans and bottles.
