The Elocutionist is an annual publication written and produced by students at Geneva High School in the Finger Lakes. Its goal is to empower the voices of young writers across Upstate New York. The theme of this year's edition is language as a unifying force. From success' defining moments to complicated analyses of simple words, this collection of student work delves into the collective imagination of today's adolescents. It maximizes the persistence of creativity even in the darkest of moments, covering issues including the aptitude of etymological research and the complex Orwellian view of language. Despite an isolated year, a wealth of youthful imagination perseveres.
