Safety Climate Survey Understanding safety in your organisation
ABOUT THE SAFETY CLIMATE SURVEY
It is critical to understand your organisation’s current safety climate to drive meaningful change and improve safety performance. The Generative HSE Diagnostic Safety Climate Tool is designed to help you measure safety climate, motivations, perceptions and self-rated behavior. It is tailored to suit your organisation and is a reliable predicator of safety behaviours, organisational safety performance and the effectiveness of safety interventions. The survey design is based on organisational and safety climate theory, psychological theory, previous empirical research and a continuious development process. It is based on the leading Nordic Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50) that has been developed and YLÄULKV]LY[OLWHZ[`LHYZI`H[LHTVM recognised occupational safety researchers. The NOSACQ-50 consists of 50 items distributed across 7 dimensions; which are used to describe and analyse an organisation’s safety climate: 1
Management safety priority, commitment and competence
Management safety empowerment
Management safety justice
Workers’ safety commitment
Workers’ safety priority and risk nonacceptance
Safety communication, learning, and trust in co-workers’ safety competence
Workers’ trustPU[OLLMÄJHJ`VMZHML[` systems.
It is tailored to suit your organisation and is a reliable predicator of safety behaviours, organisational safety performance and the effectiveness of safety interventions.
Generative HSE has a proven technical team to manage survey design, data analysis and report writing. The survey work is overseen by Dr. Carole Birrell - an academic in mathematics and statistics.
