From being formed in 1984, we have grown significantly, and are proud to work with some of the largest organisations within the entertainment and I.T. industry. Gem Logistics is the latest addition to the Gem portfolio. The recent purchase of our £15m purpose built 250,000 sq.ft distribution centre in Northamptonshire demonstrates our commitment to supporting the growth and service offering to both current and new clients and vendors. We can manage your complete product supply chain to all UK, European and worldwide territories and can deliver to destinations ranging from major distribution centres, individual retail stores or direct to consumer homes. We can also facilitate your administration and financial requirements, such as invoicing, credit control, cash collection and debt insurance with real-time reporting and on-line access to our I.T systems. Perpetual Inventory

In conjunction with our European and Far East office we control all shipments from point of manufacture to their ultimate destination.

With a full stock take of your inventory every 4 weeks*, we are in total control of your stock. This discipline enabled us to despatch in excess of 74 million units (FY10-11) with a stock accuracy achievement of 99.99%.

Warehousing and Distribution With in excess of 475,000 square feet of storage in our UK distribution centres we are able to offer efficient, cost effective distribution to all UK, European and worldwide destinations including retail distribution centres and individual stores.

To support all of our partners we offer a dedicated end user fulfilment operation. Last year we despatched in excess of 2.3 million units to the end user, achieving 99.99% pick accuracy on a next day delivery service.

We offer a seamless returns management process that ensures your product is received, inspected and reported on within agreed SLA parameters.

With over 35,000 pallet spaces within our Raunds facility, we are able to accommodate your short, medium and long term secure storage requirements.

Systems

Our experienced finance team undertakes a full sales ledger management function including invoice issuing on behalf of a client. Once the terms and conditions have been agreed we will administer all activity thereafter.

We have an integrated ERP and WMS system which enables us to offer our partners an efficient order to despatch platform.

Credit Control and  Cash Collection As soon as the credit terms are agreed, our dedicated team will process your agreement. We commit to collecting your cash on time ensuring that the debtor days are kept to a minimum.

Debt Insurance We will ensure that all debts are completely insured via our credit insurance partner. We will seek and provide advice on credit limitations to minimise our joint financial risk. Debt insurance is available subject to status, giving you peace of mind that bad debts will not materially affect your business. All payments to our partners are administered electronically to reduce the risk of delays.

RF Capability With full RF capabilities within our distribution centres, we can ensure accuracy from receipt of goods to despatch. Our system allows data exchange via multiple sources including EDI, excel and web, using a GXS e-commerce gateway. We can also generate tailored despatch notes and invoices on your behalf, giving customers a seamless experience.

Client Portal Offering our partners their own ‘client portal’ allows access to reports and real time data. We pride ourselves on being able to offer a vast array of standardised reporting and have a dedicated analytical team that will work with you to create bespoke reports which will give you the information important to your business. Where relevant we will also load your historic data into our reporting system so that you are able to query all of your information at the same time and in the same place*. * Subject to historic data being provided electronically.

Locations Our new warehousing facility in Raunds, Northamptonshire is just 20 miles from the M1/M6 junction, just 3 miles from the A14/A45 intersection and is centrally placed from the ports of Southampton, Thamesport and Felixstowe.

It is also well situated for East Midlands airport and Birmingham International airport. We are ideally located to hit the most frequently serviced UK distribution locations within 2 to 4 hours. Gem also has offices in Harlow (sales, commercial and marketing), Altham (finance and operations) and Stoke (own brand). Facilities

Gem has over 475,000 square feet of warehousing within the UK and additional space in their French warehouses. Offering 44,000+ pallet positions, 13,000 square feet of office space and a further 40,000 picking locations alongside returns and production departments. Gem run a complete RF system throughout the company and all inventory is barcode checked in and out of the building to maintain 100% accuracy.

Site security Protecting suppliers’ stock is one of Gem’s primary concerns and as such Gem operates state of the art security systems and procedures across both distribution centres which include; • • • • • • • • • •

The site also benefits from an on-site back up 500KVA generator which protects the facility from an interrupted power supply.
