Since our launch in 2006, the LED lighting ‌has experienced many significant changes, not just in technological advances but also in product choice and diversity. LED light engines are now producing over 100 lumens per Watt and improvements in white light technology and colour rendering mean that LED’s can now be considered for most commercial lighting applications. We have also seen significant reductions in the manufacturing costs of LED technology which means that LED lighting is now a commercially viable solution for many businesses. 2012 was a significant year for Kyman Ledtex with the introduction of the KYMAN® brand and many new additions to our product portfolio such as the KYMAN ‘smart’ range and LED ready fittings. At Kyman Ledtex, we continue to strive to provide our customers with the latest technology whilst maintaining appropriate levels of stock and a competitive pricing structure.

Project Management At Kyman Ledtex we do a lot more than just supply lighting products. Our goal is to exceed expectations of not just our wholesaler network, but their customers too. We can be involved at any stage of a project and can offer a full ‘turn-key’ service from product demonstrations and site surveys to full project management and installation. KYMAN® Candle and Golf ball lamps are designed to replace existing incandescent lamps with the same lighting and reflecting effects. With aesthetics in mind, these lamps are designed to keep the traditional appearance. These KYMAN® Candle and Golf ball lamps are assembled using the highest grade components to maximise the quality and lifespan of the lamps. For added safety KYMAN® lamps are built with isolated drivers which ensure that any exposed metallic parts are free from electric current. T8 SMD TUBES These high spec KYMAN® T8 SMD tubes are produced to the highest possible build quality. They have a built in (high power factor) isolated driver maximising tube efficiency with total inrush protection to safeguard vital components from over-load, over-heat and power surges. SB G24 (PL) REPLACEMENT LAMP KYMAN® SB G24 (PL) replacement lamps have been specially adapted to fit into existing G24 (d/q) 2 & 4 pin fittings, complete with a rotatable base cap which enable the beam pattern to be adjusted, delivering precise light distribution. Installed with the latest superbright LED’s producing higher lumens per watt, they make a good solution for direct replacement of CFL lamps. Opal lens cover ensure soft and evenly light distributions, limiting glare and keeping the traditional look of a CFL. 2D REPLACEMENT LAMP KYMAN® LED 2D lamps have been designed to operate like a standard fluorescent 2D lamp and will fit into most existing fittings with little to no alterations required. Advance driver technology incorporates over-load, power surge and overheat protection which allows these lamps to operate continuously without fear of overheating and will have an average lamp life of up-to 50,000 hours. KYMAN® LED 2D lamps are ideal for hallways, stairways, commercial applications and many more. KYMAN速 EMG4 emergency modules are primarily used to provide emergency lighting for most self-ballast KYMAN速 LED lamps, with a maximum load of 80W. Installed as a maintained unit, the KYMAN速 EMG4 emergency modules will provide power to KYMAN速 lamps at 100% brightness. Should the mains power fail, the EMG4 module will switch to battery mode and dim down the lamp maintaining adequate emergency light levels for a duration of at least 3 hours. The Emergency modules consist of a battery pack, an integrated emergency power module, charge indicator LED and a test switch. Built into the system is a discharge protection circuit, over current, short circuit and battery low voltage protection. Please check for compatibility before ordering.

KYMAN® EMG4 emergency module in maintained mode is controlled by the SWITCHED LIVE input which may be switched ON and OFF at will to illuminate the lamp at full nominal power. Upon mains failure the lamp will illuminate irrespective of whether the SWITCH LIVE input is ON or OFF. This unit requires a permanent supply in maintained mode. For non-maintained mode, please connect SWITCH LIVE to PERMANENT LIVE. • EMG4 emergency module should not be mounted near any heat source or where the ambient temperature normally exceeds 25 °C.

ECA Compliance : ‘Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs) are a straightforward way for a business to improve its cash flow through accelerated tax relief. The ECA scheme provides businesses with 100% first year tax relief on their qualifying capital expenditure. The scheme allows businesses to ‘offset’ the whole cost of the equipment against taxable profits within the first year of purchase. This can provide a cash flow boost and an incentive to invest in energy-saving equipment which normally carries a price premium when compared to less efficient alternatives. So if your business pays corporation tax at 28%, every £1,000 spent on qualifying equipment would reduce its tax bill in the year of purchase by £280. The ECA scheme for energy-saving technologies encourages businesses to invest in energy-saving products specified on the Energy Technology List (ETL) which is managed by the Carbon Trust on behalf of Government. The ETL list does not list individual LED products due to the sheer number of products available on the market. Instead, they have outlined a set of criteria with which LED lighting must comply in order to qualify for ECA. Despite what some suppliers are claiming, LED ‘retrofit’ lamps and tubes are NOT eligible for ECA support unless the existing luminaire is also replaced. This is because replacement lamps do not qualify as ‘capital expenditure’. The majority of KYMAN® complete fittings and luminaires have been fully tested and certified for compliance with the ECA criteria.
