Limone Night Rock Running

Für viele ist Limone der Inbegriff vom „Bella Italia”. Am Fuß eines steilen Berghanges, terrassenförmig an den See gebaut, lockt das Örtchen am nordwestlichen Gardasee die Besucher in Scharen an. Die Häuser kleben übereinander geschachtelt am Felsen, die Gässchen der malerischen Altstadt sind verwinkelt und blumengeschmückt. Oberhalb davon erstrecken sich Zitronengärten und scheinbar endlose Olivenhaine. In diesem traumhaften Ambiente wird am 22. Juli 2011 die 2. Ausgabe des Limone Night Rock Running ausgerichtet. Der Nachtlauf für Jedermann führt auf 7 Kilometern durch den Ort. Vom Start am Lungolago Marconi geht es zunächst steil aufwärts bis zu Limones Olivenmühle. Anschließend durchquert man die alten Olivenhaine bevor es in weiten Bögen und mit einigem Auf und Ab wieder zurück Richtung Uferpromenade geht. Im Anschluss an

den Lauf findet eine Beachparty mit Live-Musik und gastronomischen Ständen statt. Und wer weiterhin die körperliche Herausforderung sucht, auf den warten auch noch eine Kletterwand sowie die notwendige Ausrüstung. Treffpunkt für alle, die teilnehmen möchten, ist um 19.00 Uhr am Parkplatz am Lungolago Marconi. Los geht es dann um 20.00 Uhr. Um 19.40 Uhr startet ein kleiner Nachtlauf für Kinder. Limone is for many the epitome of „Bella Italia”. The houses are built on terraced land at the foot of a steep mountain slope and this attracts a lot of visitors, who comes to see the village situated on the northwestern part of the lake. They seem to be stucked on the cliff like nests, the twisty narrow streets of this picturesque and old
town are decorated with flowers. Above the village lemon gardens and endless olive groves extends throughout the area. In this beautiful setting on 22 July 2011 the Rock Running will take place. The night run goes for 7 miles through the town, starting from the lakeside Marconi. Then the runners have to climb to Limone’s olive mill, crossing the old olive groves, and continue up and down in curves back to the sea. After the running there is a beach party with live music and food stands. And who is seeking other physical challenges can climb a wall with the necessary equipment. People interested in participating should arrive at 19.00 o’clock at the Marconi parking in front of the sea. The running starts at 20.00 o’clock.
