The hoop-shaped office building will be located a few blocks away from Apple’s existing headquarters and will accommodate up to 13,000 employees. The campus will provide office, research and development facilities, as well as a company fitness centre, a cafe and a 1000-seat auditorium. A circular park for staff is proposed for the centre of the building. Two further buildings will provide additional research facilities, whilst an onsite power plant will provide the majority of electricity for the campus. This new development will provide a serene and secure environment reflecting Apple’s values of innovation, ease of use and beauty. The state-of-the-art office, research and development facilities include strategies to minimize energy demand, reduce car travel and increase the use of reclaimed water. The single building comprises approximately 2.8 million square feet over four stories. Campus amenities will include a striking café within the main building, a separate corporate fitness center and a corporate auditorium seating 1,000 people. Parking will be provided in one multi-story parking structure along the 280 Freeway. The Campus will feature an on-site low carbon Central Plant situated along the 280 Freeway that will supply the majority of the power needed for the Campus. In addition, research facilities comprising approximately 300,000 square feet will be located east of North Tantau Avenue. These buildings will house technical support functions that need to be located adjacent to the main building.

It Located adjacent to Shanghaiâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Hongqiao Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The main body of this headquarters comprises two buildings, one is a five-storey building for enterprise culture display and the other one is for commercial use. The Enterprise Culture Display building emphasises the corporate culture, which is reflected in the architectural space. The project will also conserve the historical China Chamber of Commerce building, transforming it into a VIP club and musuem. The landscaping of Block one and the adjacent neighbourhood has been comprehensively analysed to take full advantage of the surrounding natural resources and historical context. The spatial relationship between Block 1 and the Suzhou Creek will be maintained, as well as the continuity and integrity of public spaces between Block 1 and the wider area, to ensure the preservation of the civic realm.

Residential Lobby

Foster + Partners’ design for the Platinum Park masterplan in the heart of Kuala Lumpur draws inspiration from the tropical landscape of Malaysia to create ‘living towers’ that reference the growth patterns of vegetation in the forest. Adjacent to KLCC park, the site is surrounded by skyscrapers so the approach is a highly specific response to the climate and existing urban grain. The 162,000 sqm development comprises three towers, containing luxury residences and a hotel with serviced apartments. These are fused together at ground level with a mixture of facilities conceived to create a thriving new quarter – as well as a gallery, performance venue and shops, the residential buildings are encircled by a variety of places to eat and drink, which spill outside into the lush tropical surroundings.
