Druid in association with Galway International Arts Festival
a new play by Brian Watkins directed by Garry Hynes cast includes: Grace Byers, Bill Irwin, Kate Kennedy, Julia McDermott, Aaron Monaghan, Marie Mullen, Rory Nolan and Marty Rea
‘And it all clicked, like my insides were parts of a puzzle… And it got me thinking, well how on earth does a holiday die?’ Snow falls softly on an uncanny evening. In an old city house, adrift in a modern world, a cheery host gathers a group of friends to try and reignite a forgotten tradition. But when the guest of honour, Gabriel, is unusually late, the participants find themselves unmoored and craving answers. And there just might not be enough wine, or goose, or time, to fend off some long–neglected anxieties that haunt their souls. 2019 is Druid’s year of new writing with all work being world premieres by living writers. As part of GIAF 2019, Druid presents Epiphany, and three Druid Debuts.
