The Mystery at Area 51

Nina disappeared around a corner.

Grant skated after her in his socks.

Christina heard Mimi and Papa talking in an adjacent room. “Mimi, what should I do with our shoes? Mimi?” She peeked in the room where she thought the voices were coming from but no one was there.

A long dining room table with enough chairs to seat an army sat in the middle of a massive dining room. A newspaper clipping lay on the middle of the table. Christina read it and gasped. She hurried from the room and ran smack into Grant!

Rubbing his head, Grant said, “Christina, where did you go?”

“Grant, you’ll never believe what I just saw!” she exclaimed.

Grant’s wide-eyed expression urged Christina to continue. “A newspaper article about cow abductions!”

“I’ve heard of cow patties, cowhide, and cows jumping over the moon, but I’ve never heard of cow and duck shins!” Grant said.

“Cow abductions, meaning cows being taken!” Christina exclaimed.
