In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs along with new music written exclusively for the stage.

PREMIER PARTNER:

Formed in Modesto in 1992, with the group eventually consisting of Jason Lytle, Aaron Burtch, Tim Dryden, Jim Fairchild and Kevin Garcia, Grandaddy broke through with 1997’s Under the Western Freeway and the highly praised single, “Summer Here Kids.” The band’s sound, “atmospheric electronics meet warped Americana,” was met with breathless hype and earned the band “Next Big Thing” status.
Tireless rounds of international touring and mountains of fawning press led to 2003’s Sumday , increasing album sales, extensive touring, more press, TV appearances and much more. Now they’ve reunited again, for the first time since 2017, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of their landmark album The Sophtware Slump . Help us welcome Grandaddy back to Modesto!

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, founded in 1985 by George Hinchliffe and Kitty Lux, features ukuleles of various sizes and registers from soprano to bass. The ensemble is best known for performing musically faithful but often tongue-in-cheek covers of popular songs and musical pieces from a wide variety of music genres. Songs are often performed with a reinterpretation, sometimes with a complete genre twist, or well-known songs from multiple genres are seamlessly woven together. They are introduced with light-hearted deadpan humor, and juxtaposition is a feature of their act. This is fun!

Rusalka is a spellbinding Czech opera by Antonín Dvořák, based in part on Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid
It has many similarities with the Disney variation on the story, paired with a tragic ending. The story is about a water nymph who trades her ethereal voice for a human form to win the love of a prince. When her dream turns into rejection, betrayal and tragedy follow. The opera’s most unforgettable moment is the haunting aria "Song to the Moon,” where Rusalka, played magnificently by Bree Nichols, pleads with the moon to carry her love to the prince. With themes of forbidden love and sacrifice, paired with profoundly beautiful music, Rusalka is a dark fairy tale steeped in magic, longing, and tragedy. In Czech with English supertitles.
