• Develop confidence and creativity

ABOUT US The Gaiety School of Acting - The National Theatre School of Ireland was founded in 1986 by internationally-renowned Theatre Director Joe Dowling in response to the lack of full time actor training in Ireland at the time. The school is now widely regarded as the country’s premier training facility for actors. The policy of the Gaiety School of Acting - The National Theatre School of Ireland is to train actors for the theatre, film and television industries. The school provides an extensive programme of part-time courses for adults, children and young people throughout the country that encourage an individual to grow in confidence and develop techniques which will enable them to respond to the challenges of theatre, film and television while also being pro-active in the development of new work. The GSA also runs a widely acclaimed full time actor training programme, which has been accredited through Dublin City University as a three year degree programme, and is currently awaiting funding through the Higher Education Authority.

• Expansive range of quality courses catering for all ages • 23 year track record of excellence • Highly skilled and professional tutors; all of whom have received Child Protection Training to ensure that best practice in Child Protection is adhered to • Clear route of student progression • Great studio spaces in excellent locations • Responding to a clear need for quality actor training programmes • Competitively priced (many courses priced 15% lower than last year) • Leaders in the delivery of actor training • Strong links throughout the television and film industry • Established provider of drama-ineducation in schools • Excellent reputation • High profile patrons • Successful past students 3
