C U LT U R E H O U S E IN SAO PAULO The proposal of a cultural establishment in Ponte Rasa, a dristict located in the eastern zone of São Paulo, is more than a projectual exercise. It invites the debate of the future of brazilian cities and the culture’s roles in their transformation. For the project, I look towards the individual development of each of four programatic items: the library, the dance room, the workshop, and the exhibitions room, giving each space an enviromental treatment sensitie to it’s respective activity.

Guided By: Professor Angelo Bucci Developed Individually FAU-USP [2017/2]

Therefore, I designed each box separatly, independent and interconected by a discrete building that blends into the neighborhood. The cultural activities would, consequently, take place in the large rooms, marquees, parks and in the whole space in between the main program. Of fine lines and well defined structures, the project shows not only an architectural proposal, but also a personal experiment for a more fluid and abstract public spaces design.

BARILLA PAVILLION Studio MK27 was invited by Felippo Bricolo, a professor at Politecnico di Milano, to participate with his team of the Barilla Pavillion International Competition. The plot is located in Parma, Italy, next to the Barilla’s pasta factory. The proposal was to create a building that represents, at the same time, the tradition and the modernity in the process of food production. The pavillion would cover the main program: exhibition rooms, laboratories, stores and restaurants.

Developed with: Marcio Kogan + Mariana Simas Studio MK27 + Felippo Bricolo [2018/1]

I was designated to help the senior architects in the conception of the pavillon. Also, during the process of design I developed the layout and the concept of the experience area, exhibition room located on the second floor. The building is the result of an aggregation of environmental units located at diferente levels connected and structured through a system of ramps and service blocks that innervate the complex in the logic of a sequence of flexible and multifunctional spaces and paths.

SOCIAL HOUSING IN JARDIM HELENA This was a rigid proposal in a pereiferic region of São Paulo, because there is high risk of flooding. The development of this project was a very interesting exercise witch covered modular architecture in high density housing, low cost construction and the design of drain systems. The open basement would allow the water intake and the

I consider, therefore, this moment an opportunity to design public architecture, morally and carefully in a region with biggest levels of social vulnerability in the chaotic city of São Paulo.

CALEDONIAN JAVIER FERRERO Studio mk27 was hired to work on complex housing project in Madrid. Our team developed a retrofit of two existing buildings and designed a new one. The three volumes would be linked by a collective garden. Our project is located on a little street, calle Javier Ferrero that would be renoveted as well. The existing buildings were used as a factory and offices. Adapt to the new use was challenge, we opted to preserve the old structure and we tried to keep the buildings atmosphere and personality.

Developed with Marcio Kogan + Suzana Glogowski Studio MK27 + Caledonian [2018/1]

I was designated to think about and draw the housing units. We developed almost 50 types of apartaments because this building conception consist in a very flexible and costumized housing proposal. The units range between 35 and 300 m², between studios and 4 bedrooms floor plans. Thus, this was an opportunity to design a building that blends the public interest and the private iniciative and think about the relation between the housing scale and the urban scale in Madrid, a dynamic and vibrant city.

This imagens represents the “piloto” apartment. This unit would be the first to be built. So our team desiged the furnitre, the interiors and the architecure details before. This apartment would be the sample for the potencial clients. In this unit there’s no circulation area, no closed kichen or laundry. There’s just a big living room and two big bedrooms, taking adventage of the 60m² available.

NUT DESIGN This prototype was developed in the subject of object design, in the school of architecture. The exercise was divided in two-step process, the first one, individually, we had to chose and draw a vegetal structure. The second one, we had to form a group according to the similarities between what was drawn, than we had the create an interactive and conceptual object that represents the form and the structure of the selected fruit or vegetal.

Guided by: Professor Luis Antonio Jorge Developed with: Americo Fajardo e Mateus Romanelli FAU-USP [2016/2]

My group was composed by students who studied the nuts and the peanuts, and then, with wood and acrylic sheets, we developed a tridimensional puzzle, that would remind the inside and the outside, the colors and the rigidity of the chosen fruits. With this exercise, we had important experiences and considerations. We understood the performance of overlapping different materials, practicing an important reasoning of form and structure.

During the first step I decided to design the nut and another member of the group designed the peanut. Then we did a very detailed formal study about the characteristics of each vegetal sctrucutre. When I was drawing the nut, my attention was attracted by the differences in the texture, in the consistence and the shape of the nutshell and the crumbs. The shell is rigid and smooth and the crumb is inconsistent and soft.

The final object was developed using 3d modeling softwares. First of all, we thought about the layout of the two spheres in the space, in this situation the space was represented by the seriation of vertical acrylic plans. Before the investigation of form, we separated the orthogonal sections in sheets that ware cut by a laser machine. Then it was inserted in the solid-timber base.

PHOTOBOOK 24/7 Developed in the subject of photography 3, in the visual arts school (CAP/ECA-USP), the “24/7” was an experience of publication of a free photography essay. The classes were dedicated to the analysis of famous photographers works and also for the discussion about the students’ essays. The 24/7 is an essay that talks about the routine. My intention

Guided By: Professror João Luiz Musa Developed Individually ECA-USP (Arts School of USP) [2017/1] when I produced the pictures and developed the graphic design project was to bring to the book the atmosphere of routine, anonymity and monotony that are present in the urbanity. Therefore the ideia wouldn’t be just develop a publication that talks about and specific topic, but also materialize this topic in the book.

“Esse livro fala um pouco sobre a rotina fala um pouco sobre a dor e sobre a delícia sobre medos e amores fala sobre o tédio sobre o efêmero sobre o sol fala sobre o monótono e sobre a ritmia tudo no compasso do tempo”
